69mm front and 82mm rear. What's weird is that it will give zero degree camber in the rear on the XL5, but three degrees negative on the VXL? Are they not all the same suspension parts?
Does anyone know the non adjustable upper arms center to center length for the Rustler?
alright, i actually just saw this too: http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXXKK4&P=Z
i over tightened one of the diff cup screws during a rebuild and now it doesn't bite. i don't think this is going to be a problem, but wanted to double check with you all.
i have a great planes balancer and a rhino lipo, but the taps don't seem to match up. can anyone recommend an adapter?
so this is a single battery setup right? the guy in the clip mentioned something about using a 3s lipo.
it's on a 3s 5000mAh lipo, on lipo mode and brand new. it doesn't beep when i give it gas when it doesn't go
sometimes when i pull full throttle, the velineon motor doesn't respond, but when you give the truck a little nudge it'll go. doesn't happen all the time, but enough for it to be a nuisance. any...
i actually ended up putting it on ebay:
traxxas e-maxx 3905 used:
emaxx 3905 for sale in the san francisco bay area:
alright, that's what i figured thanks
actually to double check, do i put grease on the spider gears AND fill the cup with oil?? wouldn't that make an unpredictable mix? if so, do i use thin or thick grease for the spider gears?
thanks for the info everyone. i'm glad to have this refresher since there were a lot of other things i didn't know about.
i too am also using stealth lube (i knew it was too thin!) so i'll...
are you supposed to replace gaskets and o-rings after every diff rebuild? IME with other cars, the gaskets would just fall apart upon separating the diff. is it because they're so saturated that...
agreed, i say do it
it doesn't feel gritty anymore, maybe the diff settled in and the oil spread out more evenly after the first run
i've just tried 120k in the front and 85k in the rear and it handles great, specfically squaring out after a turn. would it handle even better if i just spooled the front? i've read that you want...
what causes the gears to feel gritty? spider gears not sunken all the way into the cup, or not enough oil?
i'm doin 120k in the front and a mix of 120+50k in the rear (85k?), how's the difference...
i'm using 120k diff oil and have never used one this heavy before and wanted to know how you're supposed to apply it. since it's so thick are you supposed to apply it onto the gears like grease and...
is 70wt the highest you want to go for bashing?
they're also releasing a 7.5t combo, would that also run hot? it's about 2000kv less than the 4.5t, but would it still be faster than the twin titans?
i've used it on a few shock towers, bulkhead and wheelie bar. it will hold for a few runs, but will eventually break
i love it! did you have to make any mods to the upper arms to fit the big bores? or is it the stock shafts that rub against the big bores?
do you mean something going horribly wrong putting it together or actually running it then having something horribly go wrong?
