Go lipo! You will get longer run times and you wont get that gradual drop in power like you do with nimh batteries. Once you go lipo you'll never go back. Have fun with your rusty! Once you start...
What really causes nimh batteries to run hot is when you run them down to about nothing, makes them work harder which raises there temps. My advice to you is to go lipo! Get a charger that will work...
The shop at the track did.
unfortunately he can only run 2s right now since he has the xl5. Then again, maybe this is a good thing for right now, a lot less broken parts. Actually I prefer running 2s when on the track.
Yesterday me and my boy decided to hit our local track, but before we left I suggested that he change his plug to deans so that he can run my 2s lipos( since he has the xl5 ).after a short discussion...
So does that look like a good degree? I want to start running at a local indoor track, it has a hardpack clay surface.
Here is a better view, now that I look at it, its more than I thought.
Here is what I'm saying, hard to tell there is any toe in
I did the 4tec carriers and the protrac arms and it hardly did anything, maybe I did something wrong. I will post a pic later.

Just was wondering if anyone might know if these will work for the hot racing tranny case? It looks like they might with possibly a few modifications. I want to get more rear toe but I don't want to...
Will slash 4x4 protrac rear a arms work?
thanks, do I have to do any other modifications when adding those?
I just changed the rear carriers to the 4 tec carriers which gave me about 1.5 degrees rear toe in but is there any way I can get more without having to change my tranny case?
Can you put a 4 pole motor with the veliniun esc?
Here is the set that I use, has every size that you will need.
I replaced the rear carrier bearings, two were in pretty bad shape so I decided to just replace all 4. Unfortunately it had been raining all day so I really didn't want to run it.
I've heard the aluminum pads from the erevo will work. Thinking about doing the same thing myself.
I think this is a lot of my problem. I seem to always hit the jump at a little bit of an angle. Thank you everyone for your advice, it all makes sense, just got to get more time in at the track. My...
Thank you everyone for your comments. Only thing now is I'm afraid to flip it over and scuff it up, but I know its going to happen. My son wants me to do a new body for his xl5 but he want to do...
While at my local track I've been whatching a lot of the probably more experienced drivers run and taking jumps and notice they land jumps smoothly. It seems like I'm always landing on my rear...
They are actually rear wheels on the front. I had to dremel the spokes on the inside to keep from rubbing.
This is my 1st paint job, I call it the pumpkin racer.
