I am running a LRP 10.5 X12, with a Tekin RS Pro. I've set boost timing at 45 degrees, start rpm at 5000, end rpm at 25000. fdr is 13.91. Its plenty fast for racing.
and that wheelbarrow still took you out!!
You're not alone. I'm wondering how hot the center diffs get when thinner diff fluid is in them.
The Ace and Associated servos are the same. I used the Ace 1015 servo case to fix my XP DS1015.
I'm trying 14/83, with a LRP 6.5 and a Tekin RS. Temps are under 96f in the street, but I would like to get some track time.
I made my own, with a 83 tooth, 48P Slash spur, and one of the extra spurs that came with my center diff. And a metal lathe. I was hoping to get to a track this weekend and run, but that ain't...
Sorry, my post wasn't clear. I've been racing for years, and bought the PE to race. I don't recall when I ever stripped a spur gear, even when I was running 12th scale, with 64 pitch gears.
Just throwing this out. I bought a PE 4x4 to race, not to bash, do speed runs, throw an 1/8th scale setup in and run 6s. I prefer 48p gears for racing.
today, I cut down a spur gear for the...
I think the new axles are better.
When i got my PE, I immediately changed out the rear hubs to the plastic ones. I noticed that the bearings were hanging up on the axles where the drive pin went through. When I received the new...
Yep, I tried to get as close as I could to Steve Slaydens setup, with the exception of the rear shocksprings. Before I raced it last week, I had put the plastic rear hub carriers on, Hoping that it...
I ran my Slash PE last weekend, and bent an axle. Registered the truck online on sunday, called Traxxas monday morning, and received replacement stub axles on friday. I raced it yesterday, and...

You can find the Silicone diff fluid either at your local hobby shop, or online.
I just got off the phone with them for replacement axles, And the rep did say that they solved the problem,,, but did not say, nor did I ask, if the replacements were the improved versions.
Put me down for a Pro kit version. Delete the electronics, and add the aluminum shocks, center diff, and swaybars.
