I see you took the pm you sent me a while back to thought lol
I know my total was a good chunk cheaper then a new one. I'll be following this thread to see what your total ended up to be
If the transmission is grey then it's a 3.3 trans, if it's black then it's for a 2.5, classic, .15 etc.
The newer 3.3 has a "torque control upgrade (revo spec) slipper unit,
As for the pegs, no they don't come with a spur gear. They have a seperate part group, it's part number TRA4685. They're about $5 from amainhobbies
Tighten down that silver nut until you think it's about to strip or maxxed out, then loosen it roughly a 1/8th to a 1/4 turn out
Sounds like overheating to me
Theres the link on how to tune for performance
Are you priming your carb before you try to start it to get all those bubbles out? or just trying to start it right up?
I third that, all though if it tight, check the teeth on the spur to see if they are worn down maybe?
I check just about every day if not twice a day hoping for an update, oh well. Gives me something to look forward too now lol
I personally don't like locked diffs, I've had a few and unless it's in a crawler I don't see it necessary to have one. Having a limited slip, such as the spider gears in there now is better. Less...
So I reset the gear mesh again, the noise still exists but, I did notice that the noise is only heard when the vehicle is off and the wheels are moved backwards. When the engine is running I seem to...
maybe just compressed air and then inspect the wall for scratches and dings
No not as a precursor, if I remember correctly the Tmaxx had released a few year prior to the sportmaxx and some people were racing T-maxx's and Traxxas was just so kind to give the ability to have a...
I didn't say on the last post that if it's spitting out fuel out of the exhuast that it's running way to rich, that's another reason why it may not be staying running
The sportmaxx was offered a while back as more of a "racer" it was two wheel drive, had an extended wheelbase I believe and had a few other racing needs. It may still be availble now at some hobby...
I know a lot of people use some HPI Phaltlines
Don't quote me on this but, I do believe the SportMaxx used a wider a arm so that may be where you have the wider stance a arms. Also have you thought of using RPM A-Arms?
Also, have you changed your glow plug after your break in procedure? A lot of deposits can get built up during the break in..
I have the same problem when starting my tmaxx when it's cold, take a minute to get warm. I didn't see what motor your running while reading through here but, if you read a little further into the...
If you do mean the 3.3 instead of the 2.5 it involves a little more work then just replacing the parts because you'll have to get the new gray transmission along with the revo spec diffs, I...
Oh and btw it only does it when the wheels are rolled backwards
Yeah the mesh is set correctly with the piece of paper, thats what I don't get
I had a similar problem with my Mini Revo and it was apparently a bad servo. I called up Traxxas, they had me do a little troubleshooting over the phone and they sent me out a new one as a courtesy
So I just got done putting in my new engine mount (the blue aluminum one from Traxxas) and I had noticed that when I would push my maxx forward and backwards that there is a clicking sound coming...
How do I prevent a run away vehicle for instance my receiver pack dies and the vehicle just takes off on me? Is there where a fail safe comes in or something else I need to buy?
