I'm using a Kyosho narrow clutch bell on my revo. No problems.
Here's a pic.
Between the 3 choices you have, titanium.
However, I don't use any of them. Instead, I made my own using through-hardened ejector pins. Search for posts under george16 or supermaxx and you'll see...
Go to your LHS. I have an assortment of shims with thickness varying from .1 to 1mm.
Place the shims between the shaft and bearings and/or gears to prevent excessive forward and aft play.
Just buy a new engine other than the 3.3.
Just use all 8 of them so if one or few starts leaking, you have a feww taht will carry the weight of the truck.
Shim your tranny.
My wife did that on my 4runner during one of my deployments. I just chalked it up as offroading scars :):).
Seriously, I wetsand, spray it with clear coat, clay-bared, and waxed it. Good as new...
If it's 1/8, it's about time traxxas join the big boys of rc.
I'll give you a thousand pounds if it is!!!!
It's just there to let kids salivate on what it might be!!!!
I put my spare engines inside a ziplock bag with a desiccant to remove moisture.
A brushless truck can outrun a nitro on a track or drag race anytime (driving skills of drivers the same). You need to watch those brushless outrun the nitros during races.
They will fit a 4908 body.
Practice, practice, and more practice. You might not have a good chance but just go out there and enjoy.
However, if you are not enjoying it and still want to race, just sell your Revo and buy a...
I'm using a THS header.
That's what I did too as seen on the pics.
There was a slight improvement on the throttle response.
Hopefully you won't have any so you can enjoy driving your truck :):).
I did a direct pull setup with the Ofna Violator tank on the 4909 chassis a long time ago. If I was able to fit an Violator tank on the 4909 chassis, you can do the same on the 4908. I cut the...
Turn your servo and servo guard 180. No wonder you're not getting more leverage to turn your tires.
Thanks. I used mechanical brakes because I like the feel of it when running around the track though my truggy conversion (Kyosho ST RR) uses motor braking from the MMM/2200Kv Castle Neu.
Here's RC-Monster's revo conversion motor mount:
Picture of my conversion using TeknoRC mount and long-shanked pinion....
I'm not sure about the standard lightning but the Hyper 7/8/8.5 diffs use 43/13 gears.
