You have it correct, it can go on the bottom holes, and yes you need to put them on first.

I'm wanting to mount a beetle body but can't figure out how to mount the rear. Would I need a pede rear mount?
No reason other than body options I guess.

Using the MIP HD CVDs the pin problem is no more... or so I've been told.
I think it's to aid the hinge pin in the event of a collision to the arms from bending. Don't quote me on that though. :D
It's like alcohol, and evaporates, but I'd wash it just to be safe. Remember its dangerous stuff so use gloves, and eye protection.
I personally like the boiling method myself.
