you dont need an lvc for the xl5 esc! the 6v bec will shut off power to the motor at 6v. there for there is no need for an exterminate lvc.

as long as this rusty is in good working order the only things youll need are the chassis, body mounts, bumpers, rx box and skid plates. id go for the rpm skid plates.
the rpm wide mod is the way to go if you want wider non aluminum arms. and if your concerned about the rear toe in the 4-tec rear carriers have a 1.5 degree toe

that depends on the wheels that your using. if there 12mm hex wheels then theyll work.
+1 on a nice lipo pack, itll cost about the same or less than a good nimh pack and will give much better preformance and a longer lifespan
why dont you just convert your rustler into a stampede or slash
