I have the same setup and its a good all round setup - it can cope with tarmac and bashing.
The LT rockers make your car behave like a clown unless you are using it for rock crawling - I'm not...
I'd go with the RD filter instead of the MS.
I have the MS filter and it works great so far but not too happy about the design.
The MS is very popular so they must be doing something right.
I have the exact same setup and mods. I've just rebuilt the diffs with 30k front and 50k rear.
Haven't had too much time to test it but so far feels pretty good - I've not tried 10k in the rear...
Wow that is great - when me and my friends going bashing there is usually more than 6 cars so some are not running.
Why so cheap considering that normal crystal cost not much less for just a pair?
Sand will get into everything on a Revo. When running the main problem is a good filter as it may clog up quickly, otherwise not problems.
BUT maintenance.......wow major job. The...
A damaged engine and tranny for the sake of a $20 fail safe.
I don't understand why Traxxas dont fit a fail safe as standard - its a $20 item that will save you at some point.
Had a similar problem with mine as new to turning. My LSN was a bit too lean and I was over compensating with the HSN.
Temps were high and it would bog down if I richened up the HSN. Once I richen...
Split one of my Response tires on the first day I had it. I was doing a bit of sand bashing and thought I'd give them a quick try
I guess I must have hit a sharp stone or something -...
You need the hex drive with the ball end but one does come in the Revo tool kit
In the Revo parts catalog it gives part no 5347 as the Shock rod ends with hollow balls and 5462 as the rebuild kit
but 5469 looks the same as those rod ends in 5462 ?????
If you have removed the Optidrive then the hole left in the cover makes a good place for the Ofna failsafe.
I have put mine there and had no problems with interfernce so far.
Just fitted an Ofna fail safe too.
Setup was a bit odd though. If I tried to set the fail safe with full brake then it would give a constant red light and not set correctly. After this the...
Looks like thats the correct part number
Wheels, tyres, bearings, FOC, skid plates, bumpers and a selection of springs would be good
and some of the new Tekno stuff....can I mention that
I'm new to this but my understanding is as follows.
The number of channels indicates the number of servos etc that can be independently operated by the transmitter and receiver.
For the Revo...
I've done the same mod and I used the standard coupler for a few weeks without any problem - some very hard bashing involved.
Just yesterday I received a CVEC coupler which is a bit longer but...
Just picked up an old scrap Traxxas engine from the LHS for free - they were a bit slower than me to get the news of the 3.3 :D
Will get it on its way to the US asap - just hope the 3.3 stock...
You probably need to turn the carb slightly to give a smooth full operation.
Also you should look at the screw that holds the throttle arm. Misbehavin has a tip on replacing the plastic bearings...
I've got a feeling that the engine exchange program is going to be a little bit busy over the next few months. :D
Used 2.5R for a new 3.3 for $130
The long travel rockers and springs will make the suspension very soft but with lots of travel......is that what you are after?
It is good for wheelies but IMO not for anything else but rock...
The LC3 plug is a good plug for the 2.5R - I just started using them and seems very good so far.
The tranny will not change into second unless you have enough speed so it could be that you do not...
Is that the part which is held on by three screws and you have to pull off backwards away from the body.
I think mine was a bit tight but nothing too unusual.
I fitted the RPM arms and axel...
That's just stupid - how can you destroy the track.
I guess he was just upet because he drives a Savage and it didn't look anywhere near as cool as the Revo :p
Without any signs to say no...
The FOC is actually very easy to fit. The instructions are more confusing than the actual job itself.
You will need to open the gearbox to find the problem. The FOC kit replaces the forward,...
Comparing the HPI filter and the MS filter, the HPI one seems like a much better design.
I like the centre support and the fact that the foam filter is well located by a rim top and bottom.
