thanks. Silly question but I have to ask - whats the average life expectancy of plastic versus metal props - just some ballpark figures - assuming no damage by scraping over rocks or things that is..
Thanks again! I'll try that.
Thanks for clearing that up. Makes perfect sense. I've noticed my plastic one showing some wear already.
Know anywhere that sellls pre-balanced props?
Hi thanks for the great advice. I might have exaggerated the heating issue a bit - the motor was a bit too hot to touch for very long - thats As hot as it got - hot enough for me anyway.
I got a tube of marine grease from eBay here in uk - take a look - usually a few sellers.
Ps. What is the main difference your prop gives over stock setup? Thanks.
I too have that model. Just out of curiosity - what were all the changes were made for the v2 boat?
What about those exposed capacitor tops? Surely bad if they get wet? Worth covering or a bad...
Instead of wd40 etc which is a great tip, and compressed air. I have used a hair dryer on a low setting a few times to blow hot air through motor to displace and evaporate moisture. Any comments on...
Not entirely new to hobby but got a new spartan with newer castle electronics version - everything stock at moment.
Ran it on supplied nimh - not bad.
Ran it yesterday on 4s - 2x 2s...
