I used front rockers in the rear to eliminate the droop or as I refer to it as squat. I also have GMP silver springs all the way around. This makes for a very stiff ride, but I drive mostly on roads...
I agree. Good list, but add RPM A arms and ditch the fiberglass anti roll antenea. Waste of money, and will break/snap the first time you roll it. I speak from experience.
I have them as well. They are only for looks, and my Merv is not a shelf queen.
Well heck, if the ESC can be adjusted via the castle link (I have one) then who needs the iphone/touch for this?
I hope that you are at least a member of Towers Prefered Customer club. 1149 is more than the MSRP that Traxxas showed IIRC.
autodesk inventor is free, and it is 3d. Just install and run the 30 day trial. Save the work file prior to the expiration of the trial period. If it does expire, uninstall and reinstall.
Ouch. That software is painful to look at. I am using Solidworks Professional. That is what I used to model up my ESC mount and do the print for it. We dont use the CAM package though. Our toolroom...
I will be watching this with interest.
Black Friday is so named because it is the day US retailers see profits in the black. It is now considered the biggest shopping day of the year apart from Cyber Monday, which is tomorrow.
I have broken one set of titanium pivot balls while using rpm a arms. One broke clean off and the other bent until the shaft cracked. A steel mailbox post will do that, even to titanium.:$#!!:
Hopefully you have some metal bulkheads coming from the postman. Nice selection of parts thus far.
I used Faspearl Blue (#40055)for the main color, and Faspearl Charcoal (40054) and Faspearl Silver (40050) for the cabon fiber.
I used Parma airbrush colors, and the white backer is a Pactra rattlecan.
I have both as well. My vote is for speed hawgs, as they are very grippy. I run nothing but lipos, and have noticed zero treadware after months of daily use.
Even though I really like HR parts, I would not get this. If for whatever reason I run the thing into a post again or have some other sort of collision, then the aluminum will most likely be bent...
I may be down for this. I have a BB though, but I own my own radar gun
Traxxas brand shock oil for me
I bent mine back, but it wasnt perfect. A single replacement shaft isnt very expensive. 6$ IIRC, so I bought a few spares I will probably never need. Ill soon be replacing them with something else.
I am using the 55 spur gear for speed
I was told it on these forums that stock shock oil is 30wt, that is why I use it.
I am running GTR shocks with GPM silver springs. They are the stiffest springs that I could find. The shocks are filled with 30wt oil. I am satisfied with this setup. The ride is very stiff, and...
Very nice job. I really like the fact that you mounted the on off switch in the receiver box. I noticed there is a lot of room in there, so I am going to attempt that as well.
Hats off to you sir.
Nice job. Please post a photo of it in the car when you have a chance.
I bent a traxxas cvd as well. Hit a another merv at 1/2 throttle. opps. It takes alot of effort to bend them back straight, so the impact must have had alot of force behind it.
I have a set of...
The receiver box can be ordered directly from Traxxas. Mine was 10 and came with everything needed.
