New rear brake rockers! They can lock the tires on carpet almost. The next upgrade will have to be a stronger servo if I decide it is...
Sorry. I thought I typed servo. I think auto correct was helping me. The servos twist around a bit too much to get a solid feel from the steering.
I'm going to have to change the shock mount setup. Its too flimsy.
I got the servos mounted up dirt of. I need shorter screws to hold them on the chassis.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160918/6339649e26dd36cfe2c30e27c4819764.jpg
And the left front shock frame...
Looks good! These are the builds that I like to see!
Cool. Well I'm a little disappointed that I couldn't deliver my 100 mph promise but at least I put on a show.
Here it is after today.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160918/ceb7b1161c82ef78f2cbf451b59723ae.jpg
I cut the shock tower off. I decided to go with a couple tripod towers basically. It will use...
How are you keeping this thing on the ground? Any extra weight? Did you go back to the aluminum chassis? What was the problem with it?
I'm still having problems with staying on the ground.
I don't know. I'll post a vid for you.
No. They don't have a timing system.
No times. I never got all the pieces across the finish.
I went drag racing today on an actual 1/8th mile track. I had 3 AMAZING crashes. All around 60mph by the time the speed gun caught it. Maybe I was doing 70 or so. Aerodynamics are still a problem.
I could look into a push rod setup. Thanks for the idea!
I started my chassis. So far so good. Much more rigid than the plastic chassis. The new front shock tower is going to be..... Interesting. I still don't know how I'm going to move the front shocks...
I stopped at hawkeye welding today and got a 8 inch by 16 inch piece of aluminum 1/8 thick today. I would prefer 6000 or 7000 series but all they had was 3000 series. Hopefully it won't bend if it...
Look into the wild turbo fans. They really suck. Or blow. Whichever direction you choose. I run mine at 7 to 7.5 volts. Never found anything that moves more air.
Strength. It is beefier in every way they could manage given the space.
I use the poseidon 2650kv motor. It is absolutely insane! You will want higher kv because of the limited hearing options in this truck. Or run higher voltage.
They did just release a Bigfoot truck based on the stampede.
i got me sealed diff filled up with 100k and did a test run. in the grass it helps a lot. in the gravel it throws a lot more rocks into the chassis. i am going to try pavement tomorrow. i am trying...
You just need to puch the tabs back in from what I can tell.
Can you break it off? Hit it with a hammer? Will acetone affect the glue? Is it rubbery enough to cut it off?
If it ends up in a different vehicle.
The wild turbo fan cooling fans work well for me. They are high speed so the move a little extra air.
