Traxxas, Any update on the availability of hardened steel spider gears and outdrives?
These would be a really nice upgrade to an already awesome truck!
These are the shims I just used... They fit perfect.
I just used Mobile One synthetic in the diffs, better than...
Nice. Thanks for the tip. I'll look into that method too.
I actually like the design from a practical standpoint.
They look really well braced from the hub to the inner and outer sides of the rim. I had my desperados warp due to inadequate bracing.
Just read this whole thread on the subject.
Lots of good info there! Thanks guys.
Thanks Jimdog! You must have been posting that as I was writing my last reply.
So most seem the same part numbers with an X. I think I may have mistakenly ordered the X parts at some stage as I...
Awesome! Thanks for the response mate! That nails it.
So are you using a 38T Mod1 spur in your pede / slash? Is it a revo (3.3?) spur / slipper combo?
Thanks mate. I'll have to go back and look at the exploded views again too.
Checking out for the night here in Oz though...
Finally signed in again after ages, searched about on the topic of using the XO-1 cush drive but couldn't find an answer. Only found this thread :)
Will the cush drive fit the Stampede 4x4?
I hadn't noticed the XO-1 diffs were different. Do you guys have links to any teardowns comparing them to the stock units?
Woot! :D Finally!
Can't wait to try these. Just boiled my Trenchers off a set of stripped 12mm hex wheels too.
Can anyone confirm if the cush drive from the XO-1 will fit in a Stampede 4x4?
I imagine the bigger spurs are totally out but maybe the 46 tooth will fit?
Also the gearing might be right out? ...
It seems a bit different scale to the slash 4x4.
There's a massive motor, laydown battery and laydown servo on the right side, all on the LCG chassis. That driveshaft seems to be a lot longer,...
That's a great question I think.
I don't want to drive on road and I thought what a great truck it would make as soon as I saw the core chassis.
Put some 17mm hex 3.8" Trenchers...
Man! Awesome truck & vids!
I'm interested in trying the same wheels. ie 2.8" Badlands over 3.2" 17mm hex wheels. What's the model number of the OFNAs? Are they 86101's?
Hey Pede808, Lookin good! What body is the blue one? Cheers!
Baja5t... How do you find the Yeah Racing Motor mount? Have you compared it to the King Headz?
Is it milled out to lighten it like the King Headz?
Thanks too for the inspiration on the Losi...
Man I've been looking over your pics for a while. Its just a really classy build!
I'm just a park basher too but I'm hoping to keep the handling as snappy and responsive as possible, centre diff...
Wow! Awesome build.
Great to see the Baja body mounted too as this is what I'm going with. Its on its way now. I'm hoping to run 1/8 buggy wheels though, hope they're not too small.
Thanks for your quick reply! Hopefully its fine, just never heard a motor sound like that before. I'll keep a close eye on it and good suggestion on the temps of the bearings.
Thanks again for...
Thanks Asheck for sharing this info, I've been following this thread with interest.
I'm so stoked I've managed to get my hands on a Sidewinder SCT combo for my forthcoming Stampede and I've just...
I'm just bashin about too and enjoying learning new things about the hobby. I'd love to race and learn to tune and drive well but its just not practical with a young child and no tracks near. That...
Wow! 80k in the rear. I just can't get my head around that! Glad to hear its working so well. I'm definately taking this all into consideration and can't wait to try it out once I get my Pede. ...
Thanks for the help guys.
Asheck, I had read through your build thread before posting. Great thread, really enjoyed the tyre comparisons and your vids, especially the back flips off the rocks! ...
Been lurking here for ages and finally joined up.
I'm psyched about the Stampede 4x4 platform as it seems at top performer, well laid out and easy to work on.
My intentions are to...
