What does it take to run a sw3 or SCT with a 5700kv on it?
Hmm switched to 18-86 because that all I have on hand will see how it does like that until I get better sooted gearing on hand. Might get the 1410 SCT combo for it and use the 5700 in my Merv.
update been on the phone with castle, my motor is still very good after performing motor diagnostics via castle link it is actually very healthy at 5140.5kv if you motor says 5700kv there is a 500kv...

so what do you recommend for gearing then with switching to gladiators on the rear?
would like it to still be as fast as possible with being drivable on all surfaces with out over heating???
Either way all I'm trying to do is make it more drivable not faster its to fast unless driving in a strait line on the road then it over heats with about five passes on 3s and 8 with 2s. Isn't 28 86...

Yes I run 2s most of the time but it still does it, just takes a few minutes more and I usually only run on the road except when my step son is with me and his stock brushed rustler.
yeah I got 16 minutes out of 2-2's 7200 and 13 out of 2-3's 5000 in series.
It is currently all stock, I'm going to do the cooling upgrade and probably the 3/16 flex shaft upgrade from looking on here.

Update I started with 28/76 gearing on 3s and it overheated the ESC so I switched to 28/86 and still having overheating issues any suggestions?
