Sell the fiberglass chassis and get the stock 3908 with center braces. I think 5151r center shafts. That should make you up and running given you have electronics.
Often wondered about this same scenario, keep us updated!
Anyway lol you need the left tranny for chassis. I would have loved to find that in the trash, the shock towers alone are like $50 bucks not to mention the diffs.... what are those? Are they the...
The middle appears to be a Revo tranny, I believe the 3908/3905/3903 and Revo are the same tranny just different motor mounts.
I'll PM you
Thats a good find! I would also go with the current EMaxx chassis and call it good and maybe some stock axles/drive shafts/shocks x 4
You're probably looking at $20 in repairs. Ring and pinion, bearings, grease, shims.
I don't have an Xmaxx but the concept iis the same, give the 1M a try its cheap. I tried the Traxxas 500k but wanted more and its expensive compaired to other options. I still get plenty of diff...
Team Associated makes it pn#5465. Its super think and you have to let it sit overnight on the spider gears to let it fill in. It has a surprising amount of diff action still.
I use 1,000,000 front and rear in my Emaxx. If you're bashing use whatever. The higher the number the more locked feel.
Was it the gears or bearings?
Nice work rustler, can't wait to see it mounted
Looks like everything is well centered on the chassis
I believe you are correct, just make sure your tires are true and square to the ground and chassis.
If it was mine I would not convert it to an Emaxx and make it a BL Tmaxx, there has to be a motor mount out there or fab one!
Check your nuts.... .... .. Lol. You may need new lock nuts for 14mm or lock tite for 17mm
I'm running 50w with RCraven springs and it runs good, I need more for the skate park
Like above, you are gonna have to be careful with that combo or you will burn it up. As for 60mph good luck, you will need to lower it and stiffen the suspension plus get better tires. Even then 60...
I would li!e to know more about the spiril cut gears
Don't they both have Castle products in them?
I like thicker for bashing and horseing around. I have 500k up front and 1m in the rear. Using heavy oils will slow down your spiders and provide a more locked feel.
I think its a problem when the puff builds pressure inside the cells and causes them to rupture. If there is still space and the cell is not getting tight then keep an eye on them.
Super cool, I'm a TWD fan and not just the show. I have all the hard covers.
It may be time for a 2.4ghz Tx/Rx they are worth the cost on flea-bay. The rings are called ferrite rings and they may help, I think I would try a new crystal set and check all the wires for cuts...
