the best thing i ever did to my summit is remove the shock oil and put in diff oil i used 10,000 weight on stock springs best suspension ive ever had on my summit it works better than anything ive...
the best thing i have found is use diff oil in the shocks i run 5k weight in mine and it handles the best it ever has and does not droop in the rear using stock shocks
the main thing is to run nothing below a 30-35 c rating i personally don't:thumbup: run anything in mine below 40c and i have had great luck with turnidgy and gens ace battery's

on my first spartan the motor didnt last the first run you should consider your self lucky but they will take care of your problem have no fear of that
YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE COOLING LINE upgrade there are many threads on this and add another set of trim tabs but this is stuff that you dont have to do right away i would do the cooling mods there...
i use the thunder charger and it works perfect my buddy has the high tech and there both very similar he just spent more money than i did lol:thumbup:

my wheels were a little wider than the tires but they dont rub anywhere but not for sure how wide they were but a close guess would be 2.25-2.5 inches wide
yes as long as they have the 17mm hex:thumbup:
no need to link a servo if it doesnt work you have a bad servo one note is the esc working and the servo dont if neither work you may need to re link your radio

trenchers look more like a street tire in comparison to the slingers just my opinion they prob would do good on rock but not much else dominated i think not dont know if you have ever used these...
YES better traction and i will get some pics of the electronics and as far as the wheels mine do not rub any where and there a little wide for the tire but it is a good fit here is you a link...
