I do not know. You will have to contact Traxxas directly.
The Aton does not offer stick mode 1. It only comes in stick mode 2.
It's always a gamble when products are so new. It wouldn't hurt to wait a few months to give them time to work some of the kinks.
I searched for it and you are correct that they do not currently offer it. I want one as well.
I'm super that the Aton's TX doesn't have a backlight for night time flying. For the first time I had a mishap because I couldn't see what mode it was in when I was trying to regain control during...
My TX regularly shows 2 bars immediately after I take off. I can only assume that there's some sort of hardware issue with the TX or a sensor aboard the Aton that causes this obvious discrepancy in...
I ordered a Xiaomi Yi for $68 USD on a flash sale. Waiting for it to arrive.
Edit: missed the post where OP had put props on the wrong way.
This is NOT the first report of The Aton inverting itself and then smashing into the ground. I believe something is faulty with the hardware like somebody said earlier.
I have noticed that in the design of mounting the Aton's boards they have used small rubber type washers to aid in dampening. I wonder how moongel could be used with the Aton's way of mounting?
I suppose one could balance props since that's the easiest to fix if they are able to cause vibrations.
Back to the original topic, not discrediting or devaluing anything that has been said; it's all been good information, but I think for that one particular compass calibration step, the picture should...
Update it and recalibrate when you fly it. Pain in the butt, but it MAY reduce your chances of having it fly away.
I didn't do anything differently. I haven't flown it since that incident so it could do it again the next time I boot it up.
I had the exact same problem except it only took me 3 tries before it armed and flew normally. I don't live in a dusty area and the times it flew before that were fine.
I had 3 wacky tones once. The 3 tones came in a sequence, all very low and sounded like it was telling me something wasn't right. And the tones were correct, because both times I tried arming the...
Does anybody know if this can be done with the Xiaomi Yi?
Wouldn't this event be equivalent to an Aton returning home and then getting stuck in tree, falling down, and having the battery somehow fall out?
I'll try doing the calibration in an open field with nothing nearby. That may be the problem with how it seems to have affected my Aton's film mode handling.
Somebody here has had their Aton invert itself and then smash into the ground without having any accidents prior. I'm not saying that the water didn't damage anything, I'm merely pointing out that...
I ordered a Xiaomi Yi for $68USD ($98 CAN). I'm hoping the 1080p at 60 fps is good!
Nice, thank you!
Just to update this thread, I've had the Aton for over a month now. Overall its a wonderful machine.
I'll tell you the reason why I got the Aton in no particular order.
- Friendly to new users
- Versatile (although I'd like to see the 3-axis gimbal)
- Comparatively affordable
- Cheap to repair...
