The tekno driveshaft was one of my best upgrades. No binding, no bending.
Both perform well on dirt tracks. In fact, a good friend or two of mine race their HCG's and have won many time. Although they did tweak the suspension a bit. Other than that, great truck to race...
349.00 is a darn good price considering no battery is included. I'd jump on that if I didnt already have a Slash 4x4.
Anyone in the Central Florida area looking to join a facebook rc group?
Feel free to visit and join if you like.
While I was waiting fir my slash 4x4 ultimate (LCG) to arrive, I have read many threads about chassis breaks. I got the lcg one because I was so loving my 2wd slash since going lcg.
I am doing a rebuild of my slash 2wd w/lcg and this is great. I just got the nerf bars for the sc10 and will be using this idea you shared with us, Dr. Thanks.
Great arent they?
No I havent. Ive been to Extreme Hobby Zone in Winter Haven. Nice outdoor track.
Great photos. Enjoy the slash, also you got yourself a great charger, too. I have the Onyx 245 charger and love it.
Florida here too. I'm in Sebring.
Cool to meet fellow Floridians. I too use gens ace and sky lipo. I recently picked up a GForce battery from Valuehobby. Pretty good.
I used the acetone method too to keep the aka wheels I had. worked out good, tires just fell off.
I use the paper method too. Just a little bit of play between the pinion and spur. I have done this before many times with many rc's. I did this again recently when my new ultimate was being made...
That looks amazing. I just got the 4x4 ultimate and I am going to paint the body. I also just ordered the tamiya metallic blue. I wanted a color to break up the colors that my other rc's have.
Thanks, I like this set up.
I ran it today in a parking lot. I used Dynamite Robbers. (dynamites version of proline street fighters) Did some sweet passes and laps. Not once did it try to flip...
Sky Lipo 2s 3300mah 20c Continuous/40c Burst
Ordered a roller on wed and got it thursday. already installed the electronics and this truck is awesome.
Gearing: 13t Pinion/54t Spur
Motor: HobbyWing EZRun 8.5t (4000kv)
ESC: Brushless Hobbies...
Thanks, El Sob. I wanna get these.
Thank you, Fr8cture. I am used to using proline bodies and jconcepts bodies.
Are they any good as far as durability? I use proline bodies mostly on my other rc's.
Those tires and wheels look amazing. How is the grip with them? I ask because I have used proline street fighters and dynamite rc robbers. Both have given me good perfomance.
I stand corrected, my "first" body (meaning I actually painted it) I used the body reamer and it worked out good, later not so good. I was reaming the holes for a blitz body and made them a mm or two...
I have the scissors/reamer pack. Was well worth getting back when I did my 1st body. I have the Dubro set.
Good choice of charger. I have the Onyx 245. Love it. Charges two at a time
Proline Calibers have been worked for me pretty well.
