LOVE it! That's a terrific vid'.
Well, this IS weird. Everyone else seems to have had access to the forums ... what, Saturday night / Sunday morning? Here it is Monday afternoon (PST), and I'm just getting back on. Last time I tried...
I don't think BigSquid is serious about Traxxas cutting them a check. It sounds fairly "tongue-in-cheek" to me.
Hmmm ... I notice they branded the video with "STREETFIRE.net" in the lower right corner, like it's their own. Yet I don't believe they've altered the original Traxxas promo' vid one iota. Wonder...
Too cool! I was SURE he was gonna lose it a couple times there, though.
Yup - show only. The "calipers" aren't real, and you'll notice they're not even attached to "the parts that turn". lol
But, yeah ... they do LOOK pretty cool.
Mamba, that is an AWESOME photo'!!! Sweet, man. Yeah, I have all sorts of "creative ideas" to try out. But this was just our first video (with R/C, that is) so nothing fancy. My only hi-def cam is a...
$480 ... "plus" (because of taxes, shipping, extra batteries, a charger, a variety of tires and rims, the t-bone skids, yadda-yadda.)
But yeah ... "RTR" without everything else ... $480.
Whoa! Both these paint jobs are great ... but that second one is absolutely other-worldly!!!
Yeah, but I can get a good sleep in, on the ferry ride. While I'm driving, I can only take those 90-second naps!
Gus, this is SWEET! Nice landing, dude.
Hey, I know it's not much (the music gets redundant, for one thing, and there's a few "hiccups")...
...but I finally got my/our first R/C video posted to youtube.
This was our first time...
I think one of the first "durability" items you should get for it is the full set of skids (chassis and front & rear) from t-bone racing. That'll make a B-I-G difference.
Yeah, I won't buy another custom body off ebay, simply because of my experience with the first (and only) one I got. First time running it, first flip onto the lid (and we're talking an unintentional...
Well let me know, too, when you do. It's a day's drive down to Victoria from here ... but I wanna be in one of your artsy-fartsy hi-saturation shots!
Ha! Okay, THAT was classic. (Another Bogey fan?)
Hey Double G, congrat's! (I just realized I neglected to add THAT bit earlier.)
It's like the redneck version of that housing complex built for Expo 67, in Montreal. (Okay, if you GET that ... you ARE one of the old guys here.)
Sorry, ksb. Sometimes, I just don't stop myself in time.
So does he get a badge, along with the title?
Self-employed writer ... so, on days I don't have my son here, I'm often up and working until anywhere from midnight to 3:00 in the a.m. (Yeah, I know - wouldn't have to be if I were more motivated...
Ha! Now, THAT is thinking outside the (lunch) box. I like this one.
Hey, that IS slick! Nice idea.
Okay ... granted, I'm not crazy about the whole i-phone thing. But that's not what will ultimately keep me from buying one. It's not even the price. (Heck, I've dropped over three grand into this...
Well, I was hoping for something a little more ... shall we say "mainstream". I couldn't imagine anywhere I could actually USE something like that. And to have to use a phone to "unlock" its full...
I don't touch any of those so-called "energy drinks". But for the past 5 years, I've started every day with a "green drink" (such as Greens-Rx or Greens+). THOSE are the way to go!
