The EMaxxes on dual 3S were hitting 60 MPH. Nice set up you have there. While not a Traxxas, here is mine. :)
Vids look great. Temps look stable and managable.:)
Too much weight. Lipo will have more punch given equal voltage. Why don't you just use lipo?
I believe jz hit 62mph with his vtwinn a while back. I have hit 60mph consistently on my vtwin but its not an emaxx. Your truck looks great. Looks to be very fast.
That is why one should not talk smack until he has read the instructions. :)
Traxxas connectors are so easy to assemble, even a caveman can do it!
VXL is way more reliable than the flame throwing MMM. ;) I have 4 vxl asystems and zero problems. I must be lucky.
No really as many of us have many rc vehicles that will gladly accept a vxl transplant. :) I have many 1/10 and 1/8th both gas and elctric. I swap systems all the time.
The twin V is not complicated .There are full instruction in this board if you search. It took me under an hour to install completely and have not messed with it yet. The people having a hard time...
It doesn't, it goes up in flames. :D
Neil is like the wizard hidding behind the big curtain. :)
If Castle told you they will have another batch done in June...did they say wich year?:D You can always count on the VTwin.
Thats the place. Great products at great prices. They sell out quick. I've never etreed the batts but they seem to be holding up very well. I run the packs in parallel and use the unslow harness. The...
I have over 100 "seperate" full speed runs at 60+ or-. The setup is very consistent. I do not gps or radar every run but every time I test it's right up to that speed. I have both gps and radar gun....
Because he was first and he agreed to pay what Larry asked for. Principles my friend. That is the answere.
Do your research before you post buddy. The V motors handle 4S just fine.
To keep temps down and if you are not interested in stricktly high speed runs, close to stock gearing will do. It all depends on terrain, ambient temp, batteries ect. Try 18/66. Good all around...
If you fellas are running rcs in 100 degree weather you have other problems other than high esc temps.
I saw Lutach's esc. Looks very promising. My V-Twin is now set up with twin modellfun controllers running on twin *****-R 4150mAh 21-35C 4S1P. :)
Too bad about the wheel. Sound like you have a solid setup.
Keep trying Neil. MMM is off to a bad start. Do you honestly think there are only 6 bad MMMs? I'll give you a hint, the member of rcm and traxxas forums are not the only people buying the MMM. :)...
I have the same proble Larry. My old futaba has better range than the dx3
Nothing like a good vtwin. :D You would think Castle did extensive testing under all types of conditions and equipment. Or maybe they released them with limited testing to squash all the complaining...
Castle like any business will always minimize the extent of the problem. Most of the esc sent out have not been installed or used much. Time will tell how good this controller will be. Not a good...
Your lipos are "waking up". It takes a few cycles.
