i have been using a ratchet and socket on my Revo since day 1, and i haven't had any problems with it. no stripped parts. plus i get them tightened right down so they dont ever back off on me.
ya different brands won't affect the % any. switch to whatever brand you like, only thing you will have to do is tune, which you have to do anyway for weather and elevation and things
if you want to run a different % fuel, just start gradually adding it into the 20% and adjust the mix each tank.
ie. 3/4 20% and 1/4 xx% then 1/2 and 1/2, then 1/4 20% and 3/4 xx%

loosen the slipper slightly. it is too tight if you can hear the gears in the tranny shifting. do it before you wreck the gears
check the seal around the lid of the gas tank, check the tank for small cracks, especially around the middle where the two halves are attached
use "easy-outs" they are one of the best methods for removing stripped or broken screws. you can pick them up at any tool store.
