Hi guys. I'm new to the Revo platform and I'm doing a big block build.
Searching for the cheapest way to build the tranny. If I could buy a forward only Maxx tranny and just drop my Robinson...
My Jato is stock aside from exhaust and gearing. Speed runs are practically all I do with my Jato.
I don't have that problem.
I use the stiffest sway bar. Maybe that's it?
But, honestly, I've...
If it's top speed you want, a ballooning tire is a good thing. The faster you go, the taller the tire gets, the higher the gear gets, the faster you
Tune your suspension if you want it to stay...
Just get this pipe and be done.
Higher nitro = cooler temps.
I bought the hard coated header and pipe. It was on the truck for about 4 hours before I tossed it in my fieldbox, and there it will remain until I
post it on Ebay.
The design is way too open. If...
So my first nitro was a Jato 3.3 and now I have a Savage XL and a T-Maxx.
I kind of inherited the T-Maxx and when I did I was amazed that it runs a very tight race with my 5.9 Savage.
Looks good from my house one_handed.
Warranty? Really. I'm pretty sure shipping to redeem said warranty would cost more than the part itself.
Maybe not. I'll never find out.
Myself, I thought about tapping the arms and inserting a ball stud.
It wouldn't be much trouble, but instead, I just ordered a couple sets of the stock arms since they're pretty cheap.
I posted a...
What's with the backward front right tire? You should explain that one in the tech tips I guess.
They do have o-rings everywhere. I'll eat crow on that. My bad.
One more thing... there is no o-ring where the carb seats, on the HSN, the LSN or the idle screw.
The squirrel method is basically the same as traxxas, it's a heat cycle. As for sealing a new engine, this is the only RC forum you will find that
doesn't have this simple worthwhile procedure...
I'm with kuskye25 on this. Although, I did break-in my Jato 3.3 the Traxxas way and it ran great, I have since "sealed" it with the method
I learned by watching squirrel on YouTube and the...
Just read up on how to seal your engine. I'll give it a soapy water test (carefully of course) and go from there.
Thanks Double G
Ok, I lied. Not going to bother with reverse. It's been two solid days of pain just to keep this thing running.
As much trouble as thing has been, no way am I going to add anything that could...
Got my Jato January 9th. Broke the chassis top plate lost the receiver box cover and bent the frame on my first tank of fuel after brake-in.
Next I spent enough time on the roof (second gear...
I appreciate all the input so far. The 10yr old has a nitro car now that his dad bought him for Christmas and it's a pile of hot garbage.
The first time him and I went out to run our cars together...
I'm about to order a T-maxx for my girlfriend's 10yr old and was wondering if the reverse kit is a good buy.
My dad always hated "bells and whistles" and I'm becoming my fathers son little by...
Wow. Longer than I expected. Last time I made a parts order I purchased 6 plugs. Sounds like my plug stock will likely
out last my 3.3. Jersey, you're not the first I've heard with a preference for...
I'm sure this one's been asked numerous times, but my search turned up nothing.
What is the average life of a glow plug( I'm using long super-duty traxxas) in a properly
tuned jato 3.3?
Oh, that's what that's for.
Broke a rear A-arm and my drive shaft pulled apart splitting the rubber boot. No big deal, I'll
just buy another boot right? Nope. Searched Tower then Traders and didn't see the part. So I
Cool. RPM it is then.
Oh, and I was wrong about the donut burn-out being the cause of the break. This morning I was cleaning the Jato and found that the other
rear and a front arm are also...
Ok. I'm with you on saying no to aluminum, but I'm still left with the sway bar linkage issue.
The only image I can find of the RPM arm doesn't even appear to be tapped to accept a ball stud
