Being electric, noise shouldn't be a problem.
Be careful around birds. If anyone sees your boat near or chasing a duck, you can count on signs banning RC going up shortly.
I got my first FE V-hull 10 or 12 years ago. The first time I flipped it I didn't know what to do. I noticed it was slowly spinning around in the pond. Each time the nose came around towards me I hit...
The Triton just might get me back into FE. I first tried it 10-12 years ago. I spent well over $1000 to go 50MPH back then. After smoking a couple speed controls and an Aveox motor, I packed...
I haven't broken anything yet. The body posts are getting thin due to it sliding on the roof a lot, but that's my fault.
I'd like to see more wheel/tire combos than anything.
It's not absurd, it's safe. I'm sure a trickle charger is cheap, but more importantly it extends the life of the battery. That's more important when you're paying for warranty work.
I ordered extras to build my own series and parallel connectors. No telling what the availability of those will be.
That blows, my LHS said he'd get it to me for around $280.
I stopped by my LHS today (Sunday). He called and they said it's still on track for a release date of the 30th. He said mine should come in around the 3rd.
I ordered an E-Revo VXL from my LHS on 9 Apr. And it's the only one he had on order.
I put $100 down on the first 1/16 E-Revo in at my LHS. I stopped by today to say hi and he pulled it up on the computer and it showed it arriving on 20 May.
I'm expecting closer to 1 June, but 20...
I bet some heavy grease would work real good for that. It would allow a little bit of play, but that would make the truck more usable when not crawling.
I thought "stock" meant a vehicle without the benefit of aftermarket parts.
Since both pinions are included with the kit, using either one means it's running in stock configuration.
From what I saw, every battery they list is full size and therefore won't work.
They need someone to do a sanity check on their accessory list.
There's another simple solution I use in my RC boats to bypass the main battery.
I use a 9 volt battery with a pigtail from Radio Shack and solder a reciever plug on it. It's small so you can fit...
I'm not a lawyer or anything, but I think it may actually be illegal to keep an RC car stock :p .
I picked up a Spektrum 3.0 just a couple weeks ago and it came with an extra receiver. I'll just put it in the Mini Revo.
