Why thank you Peterje60 :)
yeah i was thinking that :-( just wanted other opinions so cheers...
Sorry to ask a common question ... but ... gearing on a castle 3800 which i've just installed. I'm running a 2s lipo and want it to run cool. i have a 76t pinion and i ordered a 16t gear but...
Having owned both the stampede 4x4 is my all time favourite I love the way it drives and handles, but rustlers are still fun, light, simple to work on, can wheelie easy, etc. I'm just starting to...
Sv3 / 3800kv is a good choice for general use (I'm soon to get one) and will likely need a 5mm pinion gear. 2s lipo is suited to this esc.
However this combo and 3s is probably not the best way...
Hi! Has anyone tried monster jam wheels and tires on a rustler? Wondering if it would look cool and handle okay with the raptor or Chevy truck body !?
Excellent! Thanks chaps. Slash MT or Slash Raptor is a likely build. Still toying with 2wd stampede or rustler but struggling to decide. Decisions, decisions!
Okay so consensus is change gearing and should be good to go!? I'm buying all the bits for the build including a roller so I wanna get it right! Thanks!...
Hi guys. Just wanted your input on whether or not a castle sv3 esc and 3800kv motor will be up to running a 2wd slash with stampede wheels on it? Reason being I fancy building a slash MT as has been...
let's see it painted!?...
Wow those rims look much better than i thought they would (based on stock pics). Cool car !!
I don't know about a 'kit' but i have been impressed with HPI pro tools, check them out online. Also have a MIP hex driver which no doubt is quality but i find the hip pro tools much more comfortable...
Has anyone tried the Teton body shell on the rally?
Are there plans / hints for any aftermarket shells?
Baby stampede is what I thought of when I first heard of the 1/16 rally... With the Teton ... And now this thread ... It is gettin closer. I'm excited to see how it unfolds 😃
i like it a lot!
sounds like you've only had two components actually break down without 'driver error' which sounds quite good for a cheap little car with a very powerful upgraded motor in it!
The screws are soft, I agree!
Mine seems level after changing shocks and esc / motor, so I'm not sure why that may be the case for you. Any pics? What shock oil did u use?
Personally I would say use the right size and type of Philips bit and you will be better off than with a flat blade!
Lookin good !
Good man! I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Fiesta and focus bodies are like the only ones I haven't done for that platform... Must get round to it sometime..
Add to that list a-arms and drive shafts. Definitely a fun platform, but personally I can't be bothered converting them now and again so I have an on-road version and an off-road version.
Yeah I think most 1/10 wheels will fit, but the right offset for the body you choose is quite important. I use 6mm offset for Camaro, 3mm for mustang or stock rally body.
Yeah all sorted now!
Thanks for the info!!!
