I would go more than a quarter turn unless you wanna replace your tranny gears often. I run 7/8 out from tight and still get wheelies on demand.
My 30 series dirt hawgs spin alot. The gladiators on 2.2 rims hook up real nice in the grass by comparison. Now i can't keep the front down on the street or in the grass!!!
i run gladiators front and rear on 2.2 wheels. and dirt hawgs on 30 series rims
i'm baking as we speak. be done in 20 minutes
bake em. 250 degrees for 20/25 minutes and they'll pop right off.
well the title states it all. what would be the benefits and what would be the drawbacks?
WOW that's way more work than you need to do to get the clutchbell off... well atleast I think so. this is how I'd do it:
Take off your dirt guard on the right (passanger) side of the truck. ...
You can use a 22 tooth clutchbell or even a 20. If I run either of those with a 54 tooth spur I get nasy wheelies.
We'll soon find out. After about an hour I figured it out. I've got it locked, which is what i wanted, and its adjustable without makin a mess! I'm running 60k in mine now, and I can't really...
I just put 60k in mine, and so far I like it. Diffs enough on the street for me, and has a pretty close to posi feel. I'm still trying to figure out this MIP ball diff. been months and I still don't...
dirt hawgs on 30 series rims for me. great in the loose dirt and at your local gravel pit. they have a rooster tail like a dirtbike!
its what we're here for. so again no problem
I'm not guessin. lol. I know the book says shock oil, but its wrong. Other people tried to tell me (NOLA JATO) but I didn't wanna listen, had to learn the hard way. :fear:
Just a heads up on the OFNA foams, I ordered them months ago and they have been on back order ever since. My lhs guy talked to them and they are out of stock at the moment. I believe they're supposed...
No, shock oil is too thin. you deffinatly want diff lube. 30k is what I'm runnin right now.
ok maybe i'm crazy but i'm getting better life from the anacondas than i did the rr2's. maybe cuz my rr2's were taped? i dunno. i'm not knockin em, i still have a set. i just picked up the anacondas...
was wonderin that too.
Nice, all i keep hearing are good things about this mod.
I'm still waiting to do this. My lhs guy knows a bunch of guys who race 1/8th scale buggys, trying to get me one second hand so I don't...
All this talk of watts and amps makes me wanna go wire a car stereo! lol that aside, nice lookin truck
ya i'd like to see it too
I know, I was just saying that whole gearing thing is why i would take a stock vxl.
As far as jato mods, drill out your stinger to 13/64, get a real good tune and run revo gears 19/38 or 20/38. I...
+1 on the diff. Get a heavy differential oil, 30k or so, that should straighten her out pretty good, as long as your wheels are all lined up.
lighter springs, and shock oil. it'll allow more squat and less lift up front.
throttle control helps! lol
which is why i said stock vxl! lol
