Get some bearings then a motor. Get trinity or reedy motors, and dynamite red sealed bearingts.
Get the chameleon, it's a really good motor for the rustler. I have one in my truck and I haven't had any problems so far.
The 2001 RCCA mag. has an article in the pit tips sction on shock boots. Hope this helps.
The july 2001 rc car action magzine has an article on shock boots in the pit tips section.
Thats what I have. I recieved it about two weeks ago. This thing is a pure bred racing machine. Be sure to get a servo with metal gears because plastic geared servos will strip out.
Get some new batteries.
Finally, a female in the RC car hobby. Welcome to the message board. What hop-ups do you have on your rustler???
Hey platinum33 what kinda motor do you have???
I calld Novak the other day to ask them about them and they said they don't even have a working model yet. Novak said they're suppose to be on the market in the late summer.
That looks like something radio shack would put on the market!!!
Speeking of Brian Kinwald, doese anyone know how old he is? Is he like 14 or is he just a VERY short man???
Who makes the aluminum chassis? It sounds like your cars gonna fly!!!
Travis is from Australia, but I haven't heard from him in a while.
When did trinity come out with the D5? Just wondering.
Losi springs fit on the front. I use the pink, they are softer.
I know, people really don't take the rustler to be a stadium racer. I've been beating losi and rc10 at my track also. My hop-ups are losi pink springs in the front bearings and a new motor.
I would agree with need4speed and ~LowFord~, less flex is better.
In my opinion dynamite red sealed bearings are the best. Try horizon hobbies they'll probably have them. Be sure to get the 5x11 with RPM carriers.
The chameleon is faster than the P2K and GM3!
The chameleon is a 19 turn motor and is rebuildable. The GM3 and P2K are both 27 turn motors. Believe me the chameleon would leave those two in the dust, and it still has the same runtime as the...
I think I would have to go with a monster buggy. Those things are huge!!!
Yeah New Mexico has its share of race tracks. I don't know exactly how many though.
Yeah that would suck. The first time I raced I took first also. Congrats on the win!!!
I have had dynamite red sealed bearings for four months with no problems. If you do get them be sure to the the 5x11 set with RPM carriers.
