+1 or returning the whole thing. Worse case is you're out shipping. Cheers
I suspect using either the Spartan silicon jacket or a proper alum. jacket would offer significantly better cooling.
You could certainly use the output of relatively low cost panels to power a charger which charges your batteries which uses the stored energy to power your boat.
Wonder if that RPM sensor would work with an aftermarket coupler???
Like you, I run a mixed 5S configuration, in my case, I have 25-50C 5000mAh 3S and 25-50C 5000mAh 2S. I haven't puffed any packs, but I don't completely dump. I have noticed that the 2S packs are...
no, it does not support Castle link.
Got the rescue rig in the water today! Floats well & is very maneuverable! Thanks for the design help.
Note - it's been so long...
Gotcha, thx! I suspect, reverse is key given the role of this boat. Thanks
What did you do to get Blast to support reverse? I'm trying to finalize rescue boat design, but I thought Blast ESC was forward only. Cheers
Very clean setup!
This link - http://traxxas.com/products/models/marine/5707spartan-telemetry implies that temp, voltage and speed/rpm will be supported. It only shows sensors for temp and volts. Perhaps there is more...
Funny, my axle pin broke after 1 run and I've only ever seen the speed telemetry once.
Put it this way, like any other car, if you don't have the approporiate place to run this as it is intended, it's likely you won't be happy. If you do, then there is simply nothing like it!
I would start by killing all running apps, then hard rest your iPod (press & hold home and power until apple logo appears). Then re-launch Traxxas app and turn on car. See what happens.
Can't say that I have. In fact every time I've sent e-mail, I've received a prompt response. Good luck!
Check out the Revolectrix PL8 (or PL6) + MPA and a decent power supply for serious 40 amp charging to cut those times in half!
Nicely done! Cheers!
I have an XO-1 and have had an ERBE (and just about everything else). My opinion is shortly after the novelty wears off, the XO-1 becomes beautiful static model. It looks great, but the requirements...
Yeah, I had to shim my XO-1 suspension arms...much like any other RC.
+1 - remember, the cost of damaging 1 or more of those parked cars could be more than the replacement cost of your XO-1.
CURRENT CASTLE LINK VERSION: 3.50.20
RELEASE DATE: 02-22-12
Anyone know if the new Castle Link bits connect to and allow configuration of the...
Because there is no mention anywhere of them being waterproof, I think it's safe to assume they are not. Be careful!
After many chargers and multiple batteries per car, I finally stepped up to the Revolectrix PL8. Charges so fast, only requires 1 battery set per vehicle. The new PL6 is even a better value.
In the Spartan, speed is calculated by RPM. Included with the Spartan TQi documentation (at least with mine), is a glossy which features the following TQi accessory modules:

The easy required components include the TQi receiver and temp sensor/volt sensor. For speed, you'll need the expander module and GPS module. The difficult part is RPM as Traxxas hasn't announced a...
