I recently had a pin snapped. this post was a must read for me.
you could change the hex to a slight bigger one. my hpi2135's rims came with bigger hex size and universeral wheel adapters.
considering buy these. not yet decided
I use the summit tires this winter and it performed great.
downloaded a gps speed app on my samsung galaxy s3 zip tied it to my merv in a wide open mall parking lot and let it haul ... across the lot.
me and my brother have gotten to 52-53 with our mervs
(45T SPUR) back in business. time to ROLL OUT!!!!!
opps, forgot the new spur gear hasn't arrived yet. i'm back on hold again. hopefully it will be here tomorrow.
yeah yeah i know. i put them so have more clearance while work on the car. i had the speed hawgs on b4.
burned up my clutch and spur gear last week also broke/striped a spring end. so mailman just delivered my new parts...
yeah, your gonna pay atleast 15bucks or more for the new shell and upwards to 25dollars or more for custom job done by someone else. unless you find someone who just likes to show there skills and do...
those are smaller than the stock merv wheels. i would return them. if it was me.
barely want my wife to touch me, she sure anit gonna touch my merv. kidding she can touch my merv just not me..and just not drive it.
i understand your frustration but it's the kinda hobby that you signed up for. you repair it, upgrade it, play with it til you break again and repair it again. it's a cycle that comes along this...
if you can't find it in walmarts in canada(if there is such a thing as canada walmart i don't know) you can order rit dye off ebay for 4-7bucks. usually it's in walmarts in the household cleaning...
i usually shop ebay or spc racing
ok the hpi 2135 dyed mounted and glued and the wing and pro-line speed hawg tires
coming soon. I'm about to start mounting and gluing them now.
1. replace stock shocks with newer reservoir shocks
2. replace stock axel hub/carriers with intergy axel hubs/carriers(4)
3. replace stock wing with newly dyed blue wing.
4. adding hpi 2135 rims...
yeah they sat in the pot for a hour and half. i wanted that deep blue color..
and the new blue dyed wing.
thats up to you. me personally i would just go ahead knock it out and be done with it. but thats just me.
if your getting a new merv most people would say. replace the stock bridle hard plastic A-arms with rpm A-arms. for starters.
