This may sound like a good idea, but think it through if this is the direction you are going. With the analog controls on the Tower/Tactic radio, for each car you bind the receiver to, you have to...
Rear hub carrier! Broke it on the Slash, broke it on the Rustler.
I guess I crash into too many things, lol.
It's a real truck
tramsnod - same here - Tower radio is used by my son - smaller/lighter and fits small hands better.
How did you mask the design on the body around the fade from white to black? Or are those decals?
One other good thing about the Tower/Tactic radios - they only use 4 AA batteries instead of the typical 8. =)
I have it for my son's Slash - as others have said, it works very well, and the receiver fits into the waterproof box better than the Traxxas stock RX does.
However, I would warn you that trying...
In stock racing, you make up your most time in the turns. Learn to drive a consistent line and it will overcome any power advantage the others may have.
I am trying to sell two radio sets - a Spektrum DX2 2.4ghz and a stock Traxxas TQ - if you don't want to pay for a new one.
Just trim them off with a dremel
Wow, looks great.
1 sold, 1 still available!
As tempting as it is to try something from another manufacturer, having multiple Slashes has already paid off in terms of spare parts. I'd be surprised if you couldn't share stuff from the Rustler...
I just grabbed a set of Integy ones off eBay and they look/work very good.
^^^ Good looking paintjob Legend!
But you're right... good looking body.
The stock bodies do not seem to be very durable.
I got the Amsoil body because I thought I was being unique - and there were 4 at the track the other day.
After a few runs it will get torn up and you will want a new one anyway.
Rustler roller - no servo?
To the top
Body looks great, I would probably buy one =)
Funny you should mention this, I just broke one (my first) this past weekend. It's already fixed with the Traxxas spare, but will look into RPMs.
Here are my two Slashes.
Hobby People has the 7 cell 4500mAH NIMH batteries on sale right now for $39.95.
