What nut? The slipper clutch with the spring?
Thank You guys. I definitely want to go BL asap probably Castle MMM 2200 but not sure. I was told of a cheaper Castle 1518 but it is no longer available. I may drop to stock wheels too. I just...
My opinion is that you can bend it back to an extent but it will be weaker. As with everything you bend it back and forth and it will break off.
OK, SO, I have just switched over to LiPo and I have installed a Novack Smart stop LVC to my Stock evx-2. I am running 2 2s 5000Mah packs.
My dumb question
#1 is since I wired in the LVC,...
I have no complaints. The truck rides great and doesn't bottom out off a decent jump. Also, there is no body roll. I have them about 1/2 the way.
Well it has been a while for sure. I have had it out a while now and it is a champ. I just ordered 2 Hard pack 5000Mah, 2S 30C packs and a LVC. Still running twin 550's for now.
Mine is 14.4 with twin titans and 7-cell packs. I have 40 series wheels and tires and RPM arms.
Sounds good. I was just concerned because i will be using 40 series tires, I thought I should gear lower. I will try 17/68.
Hello, I am building an E-Maxx and I am ready to buy motors and pinions.
Looking to do two stock 550 21 turn motors.
I have 40 series tires and single speed tranny with 62 and 68 spurs.
I got them off the bay. I also had a set on my 3.3 T-Maxx and liked the threaded body adjustment.
Well, it has been a while now and I have been building away. Just forgot to get on here with pics. All I have left is axle/center shafts and two motors.
The title says roller, so I would say no Brushless system.
Looks great!! I hope to shoot you an offer next weekend. Good luck.
I'M BACK AS sfd6532. YAY!!
If you go LiPo, You will need to get a Low Voltage Alarm (LVA) to let you know when the batteries need charged. The BL set-up has a Low Voltage Cutoff ( LVC) built in but the EVX-2 doesn't.
Ok, That is what I thought. I think I will get the 3903 pretty soon and then start to upgrade a little at a time. I all ready have 40 series Bead lock wheels and tires, 17mm Aluminum hubs, wheelie...
So, If I buy a 3903 for my birthday and I want to go BL, All I need to do is BL motor ,ESC, Single motor plate, and maybe Re-gear? Is all of the shafts and tranny and rearends ok to handle it.
ALSO, doesn't only one side of the ESC have LVC? so you would have to find the lead with LVC and use that side then jumper the other, right?
EDIT>>> Sorry, this would be if you have the new 3908...
I was not aware of the 1518. It looks like it may work just fine. I will then need a ESC. I may just have to get that one.
I want to buy a new one because every roller that I have ever got used has problems. It seems that " JUST LIKE NEW, NEVER CRASHED" means "This thing was bashed SO hard that I had to use duct tape...
Today I got a wheelie bar, 17mm hubs, and some other stuff. I think I will just take the cash and buy a Maxx new and then Change it over to BL.
I just received my first lot of parts to start a Brushless E-Maxx.
I am building a E-Maxx BL from Scratch. Do you have anything for E-maxx?
LOOKS GREAT!! I only hope to paint mine that nice.
I will say the RPM A-Arms all the way around. RPM Bumpers and skids. Traxxas big bore shocks with Aluminum caps. That is a good start.
