Looks like you also have some aluminum bulks on the front. Possibly Dynamite, or Traxxas?
Perhaps you could build a Thunder. That's what I'm working on now (for the past couple years).
Really like that predator chassis!!
In my opinion, the best chassis to have for nitro is Thunder or Predator.
Hey, nice build. What are some of the parts on this truck. Specifically the bulkheads, shock towers, shocks, and knuckles.
Really like those strobe braces. Wish they would work on my truck, but with the battery in front of the front shock tower, and the wing and mount on the rear, just can't fit those braces. Your...
Ya, I just got home and have a card saying there is a package at the post office. I have 2 other hobbies going on now (heli's and saltwater aquariums) so I never really know what's in the boxes till...
Will do. I believe my first order will be from UE. Knuckleheads, bb motor mount, servo mount, etc.
Oh yea! Do you know if anyone found a rear driveshaft for a Thunder with mono? That could be my extra goodie.
Hello Snook Man. Weather is warming up, so time to get ready. This son decided to drop out of college and get a job, so I'm hoping he will fund part of his. His is the one I was planning on making...
There's just a few parts and pieces I'm not sure about. Such as shocks, don't know if I'm going 4 or 8, also not sure on the servo's. Things like turnbuckles and steering will probably be stock. I...
Thanks tymmo98. Landing on the wing hurts, gotta learn to fly these things.:)
By the way, it's never really been a good idea to use a steel (or aluminum) spur, imo.
Excellent work and write-up, as always.
Hello all, been a while. Hope everyone's good. I've recently decided to build two chassis that i have laying around. One will be for me, the other for my son. I want these to be extremely...
Here's a couple of quick ideas to make your electronics a bit more water resistant. Plasti-dip your servo's, then use a small o-ring and/or grease under the servo arm. Seal the cable zip tie.
Have you gotten yourself a good hi torq servo yet? If not, I would suggest a Hitec 7955tg. It's around $100, maybe a bit more, but worth it. With all else you have on the truck, especially if you...
Here's mine. It's mostly 'bolt on' but there are a couple of unique mods. Such as the wing stay and support system, and the UE suspension with the revo spec shafts.
They have worked very well so far on my truck, and I am definately not easy on the thing.:)
Here's what I use.
I'm in Oneonta, about 30-45 mins away.
Ebay would have been my suggestion. I've heard good about those Ofna/Picco .26 engines, but never had one.
I would definately recommend a RB tm523, but they are very hard to find with the t-maxx...
Of those 3, I'd have to suggest the OS. The other 2 are big blocks, and would probably require a good deal of modification to fit. That OS engine can be found cheaper.
Very nice list there o8kgraves. I would ad that if you don't use the tru-trac in the rear, you need to upgrade the stock turnbuckles. They get real loose, real fast with major bashing. The...
I have the ti-nitride set. They are great tools. Mine are used everywhere I need a metric allen wrench, not just rc's.
