3.3 is too much for racing offroad. a couple people have had them at our track and they cant keep control with tires that were in like 5X better shape.
ive held longer...just once i get it going i only run about a 1/4 throttle,no need for wot wiht bald tires.
weve got some great drivers at our track but if my jato doesnt break(it usually does) then it does pretty good. its fun to blow past people on the straight.
i use a piece of old sock and my temps are around 220.
If you want that much speed and a decent run time you will need a 3S li-po with 4000 plus mah, so be prepared to spend $200 or more on a battery, around 100 dollars for a charger, and the motor/esc...
Thanks to traxxas we can now have electric jatos beating nitro jatos.

I may try to make it to the state series race...
Racing season is almost here!! I'm getting my jato ready for this year and wanted to know a good gearing for it. It will most likely be running a .12 O.S.
any help appreciated.
Roto start is much better. my truggy uses one and i,m going to get a back plate so i can use it on my jato

Rock 108 here in amarillo. I agree with platinum30, i just moved from chicagoland and there were no good rock stations.
My dream car is '69 charger daytona w/ A990 Hemi race engine. I would'nt mind a late '40's powerwagon with highly modded cummins diesel either.
Add www.westtexasrc.com to your website page. Its for racers in the west texas area but there are some good pics. none of my jato but there are a couple pics of another guys. plus soon we hope to...
i noticed my differential is leaking. How should i fix this? thanks for the help.
This is kind of a stupid question, but how much diff oil should you put in the diff.
i've been slowly setting my jato up for off road racing. so far i have The 7075 chassis, the alum. turnbuckles, a single chamber resonator on order, and i'm now looking at the traxxas cvd's. for...
Looks like it's time to sell my jato
I don't drive yet but when i do i'll probably be driving a '71 Buick skylark that has pretty good audio system. My dad also has a '56 chevy bel air project, '42 Studebaker project, and also owns a...
