The dusty motors shroud is sweet, keeps every thing clean and has plenty of air flow. These come with a zipper down the middle, so you dont have to remove it to swap batteries.
This is a silly feature, imo. I can do the same thing with a flick of a finger.
Yeah, completely normal!
Does it sound smooth when you roll it faster? It seems like the normal 4 pole motor turning click. Id be worried if my p4de WASNT making odd noises.
Be mindful that when you replace parts with heavier metal bits it's harder on the drivetrain. I went a little crazy with aluminum everything, and had major overheating issues. Rpm is the way to go...
I have both the mip, and teknos.. the teknos have been on my p4de for about a year now and have been perfect. I have the 2400kv castle motor and run it on 3s mostly, but sometimes 4s.
99% sure it's the plastic spur gear. This is basically a built in weak link to keep from damaging the motor. Take off the spur gear cover behind the motor and check the teeth on it, most likely they...
Make sure you arent in training mode, the p4de should be able to do 20+ easy right out of the box with the nimh.
As far as stripping hex's, theres a bunch of ways to fix. 17 mm adapaters being the best. You could go to aluminum 12mm hex, or loosen the slipper a bit more. As far as the servo goes, it would have...
I'd really suggest going 17mm and running 1/8 scale truggy wheels/tires. Huge selection, and prices are cheap. And you don't have to worry about stripping them.
Telluride body mounts, and body. Shock towers and chassis is the same.
Stiffer/less sticky tires, and stiffer springs will make it less roll happy. trenchers are grear, but sometimes provide to much traction.
Proline makes bodies specific to slash monster trucks.
Only thing i'd check is the gear mesh, and maybe slipper adjustment. Other than that you should be good to go.
I used proline bulldog, made for the electric rustler. Fits pretty well.
I removed the stock bumpers on mine, it may give slightly less protection this way, but so far so good. And it looks better.
If youre set on gearing as i am, use red loctite. Also a good hex driver such as hudy is great. I have a cheap brand for 2.0 and 2.5 but the 1.5 hudy is the way to go. Also, if you ever decide to...
I'd get it in running order before selling.. those are easy fixes and will make it much more attractive to buyers.
A lcg chassis would be nice
Drag brake is what youre looking for, i have mine set at 20% just in case i lose contact with the truck it'll stop.
I converted my telly into a pede, the pede is a little wider making it less prone to rolling over. They're both very durable, especially with a few minor upgrades. Major issue is the brushed motor,...
The receiver, with the antenna that you plug the esc and fans into.
Why not just get a factory black and red body?
Ive had the 3800kv 4 pole in my sl2sh for a couple months now, atleast 30 3s packs through it. Still going strong!
Most will suggest 50k front, 30k rear. I ran this for a while, handled great but diffed out too easy for my liking. Now i use 100k front, 50k rear.
