Maybe this is old news to all of you, but I just recieved an email from Tower saying the 4x4 PE is back in-stock for $375. Anyone else catch this?...
Borrowed some trepadors for the front of the slash for our big race last week. Worked a lot better than the bowties I was using, but this was on blue groove conditions.
Locally is the only way I sell items now. Tried selling a VXL-3s on ebay a few months ago; the bidding was up to $75 with 26 hours left then went down to $40 because the bidder "couldn't contact the...
What do you think?
Yum! What kind of rolls are you using?
(Sorry, couldn't resist!)
It's a software thing; the new version (1.27/1.28) has too many problems outweighing the benefits IMO. Just revert to v. 1.26 in the software tab.
What bothered me more was that the three other "racing accidents" were all drag racing, not desert or baja. It's completely irrelevant IMO.
I don't think it's the speed that's the concern, it's the overall design and handling. The slash 4x4 was made to be a 4wd short course truck: not a 1/8 buggy (or any other type of vehicle/ fruit)....
NO. Grease will just wash off.
I'm not sure about the backslash conversion, but I can tell you not to convert it to 2wd. The car isnt designed for it and handles horribly.
At the last club race I was the only one (out of 4 4wds) with a slash. 2 were jammins and one was a prototype for another company. I was the only one to complete all 3 races (2 heats and a main)...
You most likely just need new seals. The rebuild part is the same as the revo diffs: Diff Rebuild Kit . Just follow the directions included to replace the seals.
That r/c happened to be a Slash 4x4 actually :). The other four after will receive a new "MV" pack. I'll probably end up selling mine though; all my gear is setup for 2s lipo which I have plenty of...
huh. No you're right it's not there, must have been in another forum. I'll try to find it.
EDIT: Here it is Link . Check out the video at the bottom.
I'm fairly sure Slayden did that to his slash. Correct Link
Of course, the prices are still through the roof.
Looks good! The only problem you may run into is that the lights extend past the front of the bumper, exposing them to damage. You could use longer screws and spacers to move them back?
I made sure I had it correct when I received the esc, and yes, they are still wired correctly. The software has to be the culprit; I switched back to the orginal version and the problem was gone. It...
How the heck did you get the stock batt to last an hour ? Our 5k lipos only run for 20-25 minutes!
I'm having problems with it: Low speed cogging is much worse now, and reverse just causes the car to stutter. My advise would be to wait until a bug-fix update is released.
That is true, but I was under the impression that the voltage drop depends on the max discharge value. I use 8v for my 5k 40c lipo and 7.4 for the other 5k 20c packs. Probably should have said that...
What are you using for tires?
Possible solutions? Also keep in mind the actual speed will be a few mph less; this does not take into account voltage drop, air resistance, or drag.
The newer 2wds now include the red BFG tires.
And while these will work on a bandit, it's going to look a bit odd...
I could get maybe 20 minutes on our track this afternoon before it temped out at 190. Really need a new motor.
