Some more Nitro Hawk pics.
But as you can see There have been some minor modifications
Go to surfers rides in the online community and put in mb in the search box. You'll see my pics , there are not many but it's all I have at the moment.
They call it the Gas Buggy now, and some distributors will say it is not made anymore, but your LHS can call Traxxas directly, and order your parts.
The only problem is that shipping is extremely...
I can tell you from experience that a PRO 15 fits just fine, because that is what I have in my Hawk.
I don't do much racing so I can't say how the handling on a track would be, but she goes like...
I have just revived my old Nitro Hawk that has been collecting dust for the past three years.
I needed to do some modifications due to lack of parts, but overall it has come together quite...
I looked at the Baja too and it did look like a lot would fit.
A Revo would be great if I wanted a 1/10th scale nitro truck.
Instead I am planning to pull my Nitro Hawk out of retirement while waiting for the MB parts.
Ok thanks I'll try em
Thursday last week I tried to order some parts for my MB.
Today I called the hobby shop to see what progress they were making, and I was informed that the MB was discontinued.
Could this be true?...
All wheel drive would be good. Gas is the best, it's easy to get, cheaper than nitro, and less of a hassle to tune in to peak performance.
The space needed to run it all out is an issue true, but...
It is a Zenoa G2D 2 horse power engine, and yes it is a centrifugal clutch:rolleyes:
I've added 4 more pics so you can see the size in relation to a Nitro Hawk, and to my 3 1/2 year old daughter.
The link is the same
Actually more like 25 LBS. You don't want to run into anything that you don't want dented.
Here is a link to a few old pics of my MB.
As you can see there has been a lot of changes made.
The original body, wing, and roll cage did not last long.
But modification is half the fun.:D
One great thing about the MB is the fact that gas is cheaper than nitro much less touchy to start up and run. I left mine sitting for 9 months once, and when I pulled it out, put some gas in it,...
When Next I am home, and have some time I'll find the pics I have and try to get them online.
I've got a really good one of the MB in mid jump.
It says in the rules that html is off. How...
Sorry no pics at present, but on the same side as the fitting for the fuel pickup at the bottom of the carb there should be another fitting. It's either a return or back pressure to the tank. If your...
The tank should have 2 tabs on the bottom rear with holes that line up with 2 holes in the chassis.
and mine is set up that the bottom line is the return and top is pickup
thats is the...
So far I have had no trouble with my failsafe. When the battery dies the failsafe works.
I also use an eight cell racing pack on the transmitter, just because it is convenient to be able to quickly...
A standard 6 cell 7.2 volt pack works fine with all the cells. If Traxxas did not send all the linkages, they should have, they did with mine
Getting parts is a bit of a problem. I've run maybe 5 tanks through and I have already totaled the roll cage, the spoiler, the drive shafts, two tires, two drive gears, one slipper disc, three set of...
So far I have never been able to find any specs. on the front end setup. I find that a little toe in works well, and if you set the camber in (a little) at the top seems to help with it's tendancy to...
Spare parts that are good to have are;
Main drive gear(the one on the slipper)
At least one axle
What ever kind of servo savers that you use on your steering servos
A set of...
If your gears are hitting hard on one side the you might have a bent shaft.
I bought an MB new last year, and I have beaten the poop out of it. So far the Zenoah has worked very reliably for me. I do not know how long it will go, but so far it seems to me that it will easily...
