On closer inspection, the top of the piston is pitted, the bottom of the cooling head is too, guess this is where the bearing gave way. New piston and sleeve is £65, bearings are £25. Plus postage....
Think I might be easier to buy a new engine, parts in uk are a bit more expensive than the US. Pretty peeved about it really

Well it's going back together slowly but surely, correct bolts in the correct holes is the most difficult bit.
I purchased a 2004 revo today, it is in absolute bits and covered in mud, so after a good wash of all the main bits I have discovered one of the diffs is glued and there is no fuel tank....
