The "U" piece. The rounded sides face out away form the center of the diff assembly.
Also the I-bar will only go in one way. It is slightly offset.
Make sure that the steel side plates are the right direction. The rounded edges go out. If not they will bind.
Thats Awesome man! I cant wait to pick up a copy.
Jimbo74 I sent you a PM.
I use the castle creations 10amp. No more brown outs. :)
Did you grind a flat spot on the shaft for the set screw? If not it could come loose or slip.
I am using two. As long as you get the linkages set to where they are not fighting each other you will be fine.
Kershaw Designs make a DeWalt Mount for the summit.
As long as they have the same shaft diameter then yes you can.
BEC stands for Battery Eliminator Circuit. BEC provides voltage for receivers, servos, fans, etc. so you don't need an extra battery to power them. Some of them you can adjust the voltage on for...
That's good news. Spur gears are cheap. :)
Yeah I forgot to mention that. I run a separate BEC on my summit two. I use the CC 10amp. I have never used the DeWalt 14.4 drill motor so I don't know if it has the same shaft size as the 775.
For steering servos I run two Savox waterproof 1211s, and they work great. For bumper mounts RPM are the best out there IMO. Stripped gears sounds like the slipper might be a little tight to me. I...
As long as you don't run head on into a tree you should be good. LOL
I also would use RPM bumper mounts. They are the best IMO. :)
I don't really like Integy but they do make some nice looking aluminum bumpers.
I have seen the stock diff gears do this several times.
I love the light bar. Got to get one too. :)
That diff looks tough to me too. Looks like it has 4 spiders. Cant wait to test it out!
Yes I think we can find a way. :)
Looks like a fun place to run summits. Do you have stainless screws? My stock screws rust fast after running in water.
I replaced them and just use WD-40 afterwards.
The stock Traxxas ring and pinion gears are a lot stronger then you think once they are in something that doesn't flex. :)
Shims are the life of the diff. IMO :)
6mm for the diffs. 8 and 10mm for the ring and pinion. :)
Love the black boots. :)
Just sent you a PM.
Yes the old paper trick has worked for me for years. :)
