is this the protrac for slash?
i can't find it for stampede.
edit: yep, i found it.
no rvs to fwd wheelies.
when jumping be off the throttle before landing.
if all else fails try loosening your slipper.
i meant 1 or 2 winding but i guess 3 was more like it. :o
that looks great!
is it pretty sturdy bashing?
i have access to a set of 2.2 dirt hawgs. may be a great looking and performing combo.
wow, speed jem 2. great motors for the money back in the day.
i believe purple was 10 turn. 1 or 2 turn i think.
yep the new 4 pole 4600.
it's crazy matched with the promatch 7 cell. i have punch set to 70% and your still feathering it till near full throttle or it will blow right over. i softened the rear...
lol didn't think of that. i'll have to give it a try on my next set of tires.
matter of fact i may try boiling my new street fighter tires off and taping the tires. i got hurried doing the tires...
anyone doing this?
i'm getting bored by the stampede body selection and would like the lower body look.
any hang-ups switching mounts and running a rustler body?
would the single rear body...
hmmm i like being able to shift the foam inside the tire once it's glued to help balance it out. i would think double sided tape would make this near impossible causing out of balance issue's if the...
have you tried simply gearing down?
grass has a lot of drag to run through, you may be just over geared for the conditions.
i recommend mashers for general bashing.
when you say chevron you don't say what manufacturer.
get some mashers and learn a little more throttle control.
well i hate to reply to myself but omg. the motor/esc didn't even have a chance to warm up. i couldn't go much over 1/2 throttle or the thing was flipping over. way way way more powerful then my...
none taken blady.. just giving it back. ;)
actually i took my first test drive with my sidewinder 4600 system tonight and i might be looking at promatch 6 cells! geared 19/90 it was almost...
well i'm going for the first test run today and was just wondering what you guys thought would be a good gear combo to start with.
i'm running 2.8 street fighters and using promatch 4600 7 cells...
ouch. that hurt.... :fear:
guess i'll have to throw my pormatch 7 cells away.
i thought this was about nimh. :O.o:
my battery would actually cool down running on my novak ss system.
i haven't tried my sidewinder system yet but i'm hoping it does the same.
i love the punch right off the charger. ;)
yea, i broke down and paid the extra for the field link. didn't really feel like dragging around my lappy to program.
have fun> :)
great review captain.
how did the run times compare?
i just received my sidewinder 4600 today so i can't wait to install and test myself.
i hope i'm not going to be losing top end changing...
i've had great luck with the traxxas big bores on my trucks. but to be honest just get some aluminum caps and Titanium shafts for your ultras and you should be fine.
i ran a novak 5800 for years without a problem. geared properly heat was never an issue and it still had all the top end i wanted for bashing.
so i say if you have it already try it.
can't find the 3800 sct for that cheap.
it seems to be about the same price as the sidewinder 4600.
any reason to get the sct over the sidewinder if they are equal in pricing?
well i lost the magic smoke in my esc on my novak 5800ss system this weekend.
it ran great for several packs then poof, nothing. ran all the suggested troubleshooting and i'm 90% sure it's the...
mostly complete chassis less motor/esc.
but i agree with rusty, spend a lil extra and go brushless.
