I do the same as he said but I also add Velcro to tray floor and bottom of battery. Doing that will make that battery very secure.
Thanks man. yea the track turned out well. It took a lot of work to make. We had to figure out drainage, lighting, and layout while we made it.
Well, Between the bunch of us we have tried every upgrade peice they make out there. And we have made them almost bullet proof. And handle great . What I have settled on is.
Havent been around here in a long time. Still running slashes and beating the **** out of them. Made a video recently and here it is.
Now that you mention that the only problem i see with mounting it your way if in the event of a crash all the energy is being transfered to the 2 screws that hold the tower on. the way i mounted it...
Good idea if mine breaks ill try that. Please post pics if you have any.

RcScrewz for the slash 4x4 they are stainless. gonna change my first post too. I see the confusion lol.
2 oring in front cup and 2 in the back cup. They act as a dampener. I asked the same ? here when i got mine lol.
I purchased the kit for the slash 4x4 awhile back as some screws were rusting. so between that kit and stock screws i had from swapping some out i had all i needed
Now its time to fit the body Its really kinda simple.

Truck looks great man. Ive been using the Robinson racing Gen3 spur gear and Robinson racing hardened pinion. and havent seen a stripped gear in over 20 packs. And pinion and spur still look brand...

Thanks If you guys want i can do a write up on how to w/pics.
Thanks to the members here for the ideas and part numbers. Was a fun project and cant wait to tear it up.
Sorry thought you were running on 3s you could still be running to hot on 2s what gearing are you using?
Rpm for arms STRC for everything else except the shock towers. They are a bit to thin to hold up in any type of crash. Golden Horizon makes a aluminum shock tower modeled after the stocker.
Run a smaller pinion to keep the temps down. You will soon have a motor failure if ya keep over heating it on 3s
Dknuckles you might be almost right. We put these trucks through the ringer on the weekends running sometime more than 10 packs through them. But I am not the only one out of 5 trucks with the same...
Bent and broken so many of them that I stopped using MIP and switched to Tekno. Since then all my bearing issues have gone away and spend more time driving it than fixing it. I know this forum is all...
You can use the velcro mod like i did for awhile but now i just leave the cover off and let dirt go in and out as it wants. Also a Kingzhead motor mount will solve your issue.
Not sure if its alot better as I've only gone through one stock shaft. And the second one is still going strong. I have started to use Tekno stuff ( had bad luck with MIP) and wanted to to have a...
thanks doughboy i figured they would act like little dampeners but i wanted to make sure.
Just got one in the mail and was wondering where the 4 rubber orings go.
