Be advised, the stock plate has a slight bend at one end to slide in and out of the motor mount easier.
About the stripped screws - if you're really careful you can use a tiny screw extractor set...
What are you planning to do with this truck? Bash or race, or a little of both.
There are a millions different mods / upgrades out ther but your best bet is to just upgrade as you break stuff....
I agree with Crusey. There are a lot better options for the price. Shop around.
Props man, looks like its going to be a bad rig. I'm interested to see the rest.
Who makes that red aluminum center differential? ...assuming that's what it is.
I notice that you said you...
okay cool. I guess I was just thinking into it too much.
I've heard plenty of people taping tires, just never tried it myself. Do you just run double sided tape around the wheel and inside the tire to secure the foam on either side?
It does sound like a fun DIY project. "hi def man" did you send it off to be done then? Also, did you just paint over the Traxxas logo after you dipped it?
That's tight. Awesome scenery!
Sweet, Tackle Warehouse! Looks good man!
Also along those lines, the Novak "Glitch Buster" can help out.
El Sob is probably right then. Try to open it up and check both the front and rear bearings.
I havn't messed with a MMP but I'd try to give them a call. See if it's common and if they can walk you through it.
I would recommend a tiny bit of Loc-Tite on the set screw that secures you pinion. Other than that I like to run plastic spurs because at some point something in your drivetrain has got to give and I...
It happens a lot with the stock set-up on 3S. You've really gotta pay attention to the temps on both the ESC and motor. One thing to remember is that the thermal protection mode only measure...
Thanks John, you were reading my mind!
Yeah, sorry. I should have explained it a little more in depth. I meant that the sway bar set further benefits racing than bashing. But you will still see...
Can't be that bad.
I believe they are. Maybe not for a 100% basher. But I could tell a huge differance with the handling when I threw some on.
I like Permatex products. I've used thier "super glue" for a couple of sets of tires and I love it.
haha, Yeah coulda picked a better model if I recall the shot.
How does the rotor look? Are there any scars or marked on the shaft? I'm really interested in seeing what made it react like that. Have you called Traxxas support of possible warranty coverage?
haha easy there. It was a joke, the add was titled "Clean Power" or something along those lines and showed some lady washing herself like about 50 Vemon LiPo's in a tub. Had nothing to do with...
... I don't know. In May's issue of RC Car Action Venom had an add with a bunch of their LiPo's in a bath tub. hahaa
Ironically I have spreadsheet on my desktop that has a some info that I've been reserching on ESC's and motors. My list consist of The Xerun 150 1/8 ESC, Castle Momba Max Pro SCT, Tekin RX8 and the...
I agree with a roller build for racing. There are so many great options and aftermarket parts for these trucks out there.
I'd have a 2S LiPo bucket list. I know that I want to try out Gen Ace, Sky, ******* and SPC. But I just don't need another pack right now. Once one dies I'll look for a different one.
