It should already come w/ a plastic version of that part, but the aluminum one you linked to is highly recommended.
I don't mind the extra weight of the wheels, but those tires suck! They'd prob do ok on pavement, or on the stock NiMH battery though.
3.5 weeks may be acceptable to you, but when I spend $400+ on a toy RC truck that is defective out of the box I expect it to be taken care of in a timely manor. "They're out of stock, & we don't know...
Same thing happened to mine out of the box. Called Traxxas & they said I needed a new ESC. So I send it in & then they decide to tell me that they don't have any in-stock, & don't know when they'll...
PM sent. LMK if you're interested & I'll get some pics for ya.
I have a 1/16 revo w/ very little use. I'll PM you the details tomorrow....time to go to sleep.
Looks good. If I were you though, I would have bought 2 of the SPCs along w/ a parallel connector to double your run times.
They worked great for the 10 minutes that I've used them. One of the Traxxas cvds had a slight bend (brand new), & it popped out. Traxxas is sending me a new one.
How much for the 2 batteries, & 1 charger (new) shipped to 23234?
I will take the 2 batteries, & prob the charger depending on the price for just the one.
Next time you want to strip anodizing off, just use some Greased Lightning. If it's not something you can submerge (I wouldn't submerge that motor), then I'd recommend using a toothbrush w/ the...
Well I went ahead & installed mine anyways. Just don't see any other "better" options. I hope my "rigging" holds up on them. I used loctite, then expoxy, then heat-shrink tube, then electrical tape,...
Thanks again for all of the help guys. Finished putting it back togther today. It was indeed the rear diff that I installed backwards. Live & learn!
One of my cvd's was slightly bent straight out of the Traxxas package. Haven't contacted them about it (yet).
I agree, lack of good tools is def not a prob I have. It's the small size the the 1/16 that gives me trouble.
^ Thanks! I'm betting it's the rear diff I installed backwards.
Yeah, I agree w/ ya....I love working on my Baja 5T's, but this little thing can be a pain to wrench on. When I took it apart to fix the drive shaft, I added a few needed upgrades.
^ much appreciated! I'm so sick of taking this thing apart.
Thanks for the replies guys. So it's as simple as flipping around the diff in the bulkhead?
Looking for some help on where I screwed up.
My center drive-shaft broke on my 3rd NiMH pack, & I figured I'd upgrade to the Traxxas CVDs while I was replacing the DS.
Somewhere during the...
That REALLY sucks! I just finished installing these....literally 5 minutes ago. I wonder if some loctite would do the trick?
Are there any other options? I broke the stock center DS on my 3rd Nimh...
