Gotta agree, when I first got the truck I wasn't impressed with the power or run time. Now after 4 charge cycles both are better. If the truck didn't get hot I could run all day, one battery charging...
Might have turned out better if I'd done some research on the paint.
The black detail was brushed.
The pearl white was rattle can. nasty
The blue was air brushed, much better results.
all good points and comments. i'm setting up two sets of shocks, one for off road and one for on.
the stock plastic bodies would be good enough for on road imo with a stiffer setup and fuel line...
how long were you running when it happened?
good grief! where are ya traxxas?
the trapped air behind the bladder gets compressed then forces the piston/ shaft out when released. Perfect.
aw, ok, if you insist. i've had a iwata eclipse for several years that has worked well and been trouble free.
never painted a rc body with it but i probably will. a guy that's good with a rattle...
use a damp sponge to wipe off heated solder or you can buy "solder wick" at a electronics store.
use the included spacers to adjust the ride height
right on, disconnect your shocks and move the arms up and down to check for any binding. bent shock shafts and dirty pivot pins would also cause stiffness.
low oil will cause looseness.
as a former iphone owner, a sigh of relief, i've cut the cord.
cooling fans and heat sinks are cheaper than a new motor/ controller. the vxl doesn't know how hot the motor is getting it's just protecting itself. get a fan for the vxl and a snap on heat sink for...
you can only increase or decrease the rate (quickness) of steering with "exponential" and set the end points as far as i know. if yours was good and only now getting slow you need to open it up and...
if you have the standard model (ultra shocks) they are plastic bodied shocks and i have no experience with them.
if you have the upgraded models (the plat and ult have the big bores) they are...
there are how to vids on utube
another option would be the photo transfer paint.
you're right about checking the weight. wally is notorious for shorting the weight to "lower" the price. yeah, even on the name brands.
they arrived yesterday and looked pretty good out of the box. the fit on the wheels worried me some with the outside bead appearing not to fit as tight as the insides do. rubber...
aside from the threaded bodies for spring pre load, what is the advantage over the alum big bores?
actually i prefer the shim setup simply for the ease of setting equal pre load...
when i looked at the photo in the catalog i saw a lot of extra ribbing inside the tire. probably the reason crusey aus says they dont balloon as much as foamed tires, stiffer construction. i'm...
are they the ones with or without the foam inserts? i ordered a set of the newer m2 ones without foam friday to play with on the street.
if you bought your slash at your lhs give them a call, they may help you out with the set screw. then buy a 6 pack (screws) from them. they're pretty much a one use item imo, and cheap.
for $50 your options are limited, a lipo charger alone would certainly wipe you out there. do some looking and get a good 4200mah battery and enjoy.
