:) Maybe try the Integy Titanium ones - or the RC Solutions T-Maxx / E-Maxx Steel Skid Plate. All alu ones would simply bend.
1. Great Assembly 3mm titanium - discontinued..
2. Most likely.
What kind of truck do you run? Surely this could not be a stock EMBE - do you have a link to your build?
And no - RPM arms wouldn't normally break, even at those jumps!
I've jumped V+15, H+30 some landed, some cartwheeled. Stock would break, RPM will hold with no problem.
Ultra Shocks and Big Bores are really 1:10 scale shocks. E-Maxx really is a 1:8 scale truck.
These 8 shocks are ok on stock plastic build, but when adding lots of alu stuff, and truck gets heavy,...
Compared to each other, Trencher 40 series are higher - TrencherX wider.
Weird as it sounds, I liked performance of stock tires better.... and also like zero offset better.
But it would be boring...
EmaxxChris is selling and you're selling to?
I still can't believe I sold mine. Best of all my trucks. But with no track close to me, and no one is driving near me, my collegue signed out and kids...
Perhaps keep only my Stampede 4x4. Seems not that many are showing interrest in buying my Slash 4x4.
Almost none are showing interrest in my ThunderTiger MT4 G3 - The Vorza was...
I have had so much fun building and driving my EMBUE. But as in all my different hobbies through life, I tend to lose interrest over time.
And since the price offered was attractive, today the EMBUE...
In my opinion 4s is plenty for bashing and racing - plenty.
6s is only for speed runs and show off. You'll not be faster on a track or bash better on 6s.
Actually, the 3908 out of box have Ultra shocks on position A4.
For racing, the stock springs are too soft under all conditions.
Passed 10k views - thanks
60-70wt - Using big bores, A4 is a no go on stock and RPM shock towers!
You could try 80wt - but it would be a little to thick (slow) for white springs, and you'd risk damaged shocks.
I would go...
I couldn't think of any condition that setup would be good on an EMBE!
Really soft suspension in combo with very low ride height - all wrong!
You need HARD suspension with low ride...
Extend bigbore shocks to 110mm as I suggested - then use position 3 on A-arms. Middle hole on stock shock tower.
I'm still confident 50wt is to thin.
The 8x Big Bore set are delivered with VERY...
Thicker oil is needed.
50-60 wt is appropriate for big bores using the white progressive springs!
And that's only for bumpy off-road action. On road and big jumps - too soft.
Did you follow any of the advice?
Over sprung or underdamped.
Does the installed spring compress just slightly when truck rests?
I would say absolutely thickest oil for big bores would be 70wt.
A video would be nice
There are a lot of tuning that could affect this.
Diff oil front?
Did anyone actually shop there? Any references?
When something sounds too good.......
Positive news to my earlier post
I had contacted Castle weeks ago about the fried BEC. Told them exactly what happened - all my fault.
They asked me to send in the fried BEC, and...
RPM Shock towers gets mixed reviews - I don't like them!
Skidplates, bumpers, and in this discussion, A-Arms and carriers gets to my knowledge excellent reviews. A-arms are soft and flexible, yes -...
Let me add - this applies if using stock or RPM towers. If you use FLM or UE shock towers this is not an issue, since they offer lower mounting positions
When upgrading an E-Maxx, we're trying to eliminate the weak links. RPM carriers let's no body down (ring mod required) and are easy to mod for the LST2 cvd mod. Stock plastic sliders won't last.
Project...? Lets see some pics of details
I like them tires.. does the Axial beadlocks add any off-set?
