There are a ton of the 4317s on ebay You can also get the RPM version for about the same price. You can also get a full set of the Nitro 4Tec axles. They are slightly longer but can be shortened to...
I really like it. We need a vid of it in action!
That is going to look great.
Here is my rear striped belt.
Very cool, you will have a bunch of fun with the car. I did a similar rebuild a few years ago and have had a blast with mine.
One thing you may consider adding is a slipper clutch as it cuts down...
I have had the same two BL combos in mine as well. Lots of fun.
The 3.3 diffs are stronger and hold up to brushless power much better.
The wide conversion uses the axles and suspension arms off of the 3.3 to let you run 200mm bodies instead of 190mm.
I got the chassis form Traxxas a few years ago, they still had them in stock.
On 2s it takes a soft touch to keep it from smoking all the tires. Gearing is limited by how much the motor can move...
I would add a slipper clutch set up from an older rustler, it really helps save the belts. I would run it as is and replace the diffs if you brake them.
Yea, they make an aluminum pulley kit and it is wider than the stock plastic ones. How wide is the new belt? The number for the pulleys is 4395X and they are on ebay most of the time.
looks good, what are you going to power it with?
I would say that you would be money ahead to get a car that is still in production. There are a number of parts that are getting scarce and buy the time you beef up the 4-tec to reliably handle the...
How does is hold up?
I did not seem to have that trouble with mine can you post a pic of the place you are talking about?
Very nice! !
It looks so familiar.......
Yea, we have to see some pictures!
Slow, do the fancy ball difs hold up any better than the stock ones with brushless?
The two lipos that I use most are 2s 5000 30c one is a ******* the other is ? I think most 2s hardcase packs would fit but I can not guarantee it.
I found it. :)
Trans and Shocks
I run 2s lipo hardcases. They fit after loosening the battery holders from under the chassis. They fit so tight that I do not even run the doors on each end.
That is quick! Can't wait to see what it can do when you give it the full beans.
Slow, did the weather break? Can't wait to see what a 3s 4-tec can do.
Post some pictures if you can. It is amazing that your LHS had the parts, that is a nice time saver.
Thanks, I should have read the whole post.:p
