Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for helping me guys! I went to my LHS to look at tires, and they only carry Pro Line tires for the Summit. Out of the Pro Lines for the Summit the Trenchers seems...
Thanks for the replies! Those losi tires looks nice, but so does the Trenchers. I took a look at the Proline website, and I found these tires:...
I have been quite buisy the last year and sadly this has meant that I havn't had much time for RC. As a result of this I have no idea of what tires are good for the Summit, both for bashing...
I bought my Summit in the summer of 2011, and I bought my LiPos in the winter of 2011/12. My stock motor is still running great!
Yellow Summits are still better... ;)
Just kidding this is awesome.
Great work man, this is one of the best trailers I've ever seen for a RC.
Trenchers on a Summit = :p~
Very nice build so far.
Do you have the same problem with both pairs? I have no experience with Venom batteries, but with the Traxxas batteries you should get 20+ minutes of runtime if you crawl in low gear. How long do you...
I did a quick search, and it doesn't seem like it, sadly. However, they got one for the (E) Revo trucks, which are basically the same as the Summit. The Summit does have a longer wheelbase, so it...
It might look awesome, but the plastic will probably hold up better than the aluminum. Here's the reason: plastic is made to flex. Aluminum is not. When aluminum is subjected to hard impacts (such as...
That's a nice trailer! I think the big wheels look awesome on it.
For me, this is my number one when I drive: NEVER locking the diffs in high gear. This has worked great; I haven't broken a single diff since I got my Summit. I got my Summit in mid 2011 ;)
No. Integy is famous for NOT being durable. I still don't understand why you want aluminum body mounts...
Aluminum is NOT good for body mounts. Integy is junk. Just do a search and you will know why ;)
Looks like they're Rok Loks. Link: http://store.rc4wd.com/Rok-Lox-40-Series-38-Comp-Tires_p_755.html
The truck only runs 4s when it comes to LiPos. (2s + 2s) Personally I don't have any heat issues on 4s.
Only pieces I've broken is a couple of driveshafts (my fault) and the front bumper mount. I've soon owned my truck for two years, and that's all I've broken.
Isn't it possible to edit the post?
*cough* Titan 775 *cough* ;)
I have no first hand experience with that heatsink. But I have heard about people using it, and it seems to work. Still, it's only a heatsink. Even if the fan fails,...
That's sweet. Looks like a lot of fun :)
Hmm, strange. Good thing it's working though! :)
Nice looking Summit. How are the magnets holding up?
That's really cool. Now I'll have to build one myself ;)
Very nice. I'll try something similar later today :)
I absolutely LOVE the clean wiring.
