Sounds good, any pics?
Wow, I never thought i would need a translator on the Traxxas boards... Lol :D
So what do you guys think would be a good tire set-up for a tight, blue-grooved track that has some dust on top near the end of the day?
I'm running response tires on wabash right now, and I'm...
Locking your diffs is good for rock crawling, but very bad for racing.
Tony, where did you get the fuel tank mounts? Also, what size CC is the mugen tank?
Nice fuel lines btw. :)
I have used both on the TZ, TM, and the 2.5 engines. I prefer rotary all the way. I do not like how the linkage you have to use on the revo. It causes to much sticking with a slide carb for me.

The flywheel nut should be tight enough that it will not allow the flywheel spin at all. Use red loc-tite.
Yes, make sure the clutchbell can spin freely without hitting the flywheel. It may...
Here are a few pics of mine...
Does anyone have any suggestions for replacing the stock stub axles? I am running Dace hubs on Wabash rims. I have broken the left rear twice within 2 weeks of racing.
I have heard of (and have...
www.osrocketracing.com If you want to know about re-sizing, talk to him. Believe me, it is well worth the $20.00. That tool you listed will leave the sleve out of shape.
Im 19 and I have been in R/C for 5 years. Have been racing for 3.
The starter box will be the most reliable. No more OWB's to lockup. It will be the most expensive in the beginning, but those one ways add up. :)
Slipper clutch pads for me...
Go with the RD starter box. I used an HPI rotostarter with a cordless drill and the OWB puked on me as usual. (it was well kept btw) I have had good luck with the RD so far. :)
Buy the best and...
One thing I noticed that might help is if you trued those tires down some more. It will give you a much lower C of G, which is essential in oval racing.
M8 with Spektrum. I've had the M8 for 3 years and I just got the Spektrum. All money well spent.
Tornado, I notice you went from your old set-up with 1/4 inch narrower in the front, to 1/4 inch wider than stock. You also have 1/2 inch narrower in the rear.
What is the reason for this and how...
That bashing spot looks like a little piece of heaven. I wish I had a great place like that to run my stuff. Nice Vid!
I have not tried the MIP's yet, but have you looked at Lunsford? Their turnbuckles are a lifetime warranty. Just a suggestion. :)
I would not buy the RTR version again. I would build my own from e-bay and upgrading it how I want. This would save buying the stock engine, electronics, and many others. Something like Tornado did...
Do not try to trim the receiver. You can, however, trim the servo ends to fit the receiver.
Loctite is usually used for metal on metal applications, but I'm sure it would'nt hurt to try it on metal/plastic.
Has anyone heard of any dates for the vantage cf extended chassis?
