I got them from:
I have black shocks made by gpm and they are great and don't leak either.
I have got a set of fastrax dish wheels on my bandit...quite cheap to buy and have done the job on my merv also.
Thanks for the advice. I took it for a run yesterday and it sounded fine and i was quite happy...eventhough it had no rear skid plate. However when i turned and accelerated i could hear a grinding...
I have taken it apart...again, and checked the diff. All seems fine with no clicking noises however there is a rough patch at the same point on the ring but there is not dirt clogging it up. After...
I took the rear diff out the other day to check if it had any oil in...which it didnt! So i put traxxas 30k oil in and put it back together. Once i had done that i turned the diff to check for...
Yeah they look like them. Here is a comparison between traxxas black and green springs and the gpm springs.
I bought the black traxxas springs and didnt think they were stiff enough, but when i got my gpm shocks through the springs were much stiffer and longer aswell.
My bandit VXL that i have had only a couple of weeks with new wheels as stock tyres are now becoming slicks!
Bandit with the MERV
I have got the GPM shocks and springs and they work great! I got them as they are half the price of GTR's and have no complaints....plus they look good :)
Not sure to be honest...dont think they have a hex fit. But these wheels definatley fit and are cheaper ;)
I have been looking for a used brushless rusty in the UK with no joy or being way to expensive! If i was in US i would have made you an offer! Good luck with the sale.
I dont know about those tyres as i havent found them. But the white rims that are pictured above measure:
hope that helps
I got them here
Also did a quick comparison between stock wheels and tyres and the fastrax set.
I have fastrax wheels on mine:
They are quite light...cant say exact weight but they will be lighter than beadlocks. They also fit...
They are really nice and sticky to! I got them mounted on some rims yesterday that i got from my LHS.
Thats what mine was doing as well. The black springs didnt realy do much imo. I then changed to GPM shocks and left in the springs it came with and it gave me an extra 10mm ground clearance. I know...
It was orgionally white (in one of the pics above). Dyed it for around 5 mins and it came out a very similar colour to the shell :)
Just a quick update. I dyed the wheels and wing yesterday...however the wheels did not take to the dye at all but the wing did. I am getting new wheels and not dyeing them as I cant be bothered...
Got the new parts on and it definatley made a difference!
Before and After
I got the GPM parts from RCmodelimports
They have just had a delivery as i have been waiting a while for the shocks as its around half...
Just a quick update. Managed to get the tyres from the rims yesterday, however the rims are now not re-useable! :( So i will be ordering some more wheels today hopefully.
However the post arrived...
You can run up to 14.4v on the stock set up...so two 7.2v batteries in series. If you want to run duel 7.4v lipo i think you will need to upgrade your esc.
Correct me if i am wrong but i think...
I will get pics up of the wheels when i have dyed them which should be the next day or two.
I measured the wheels width with tyre on with a ruler so its not 100% accurate but it is around 35mm...
I havent changed the oil yet as I have my last exam tomo and then i am free :) so i will do it later this week and let you know. I have also got GPM shocks on the way so i might just wait for them.
