Paypal Tower Hobbies they'll be happy to send you one.
I just got an email from Tower selling the XO-1 for $699 minus my gold preferred discount of $105 would make it $600 shipped.
It's tempting but I have absolutely no use for it.
hmmm, same small bearing. So good luck w/ that until someone comes up w/ a larger bearing mount.
I thought I read there is a new motor mount w/ this chassis. I'm hoping it doesn't need to be upgraded and Traxxas learned from previous experience.
I would think the HPI is too small, the traxxas wins that comparison. In terms of size and ability, I would think the thunder tiger mini is a better comparison. Those are the two I'm torn between.
Maybe a bad solder on the esc or some other connection? I've been running ours daily for over a month now.
From reading your post above I'm confused, was it 2 minutes or 15 minutes?
I'm not sure how you conclude 'most' esc's support brushless and brushed motors. I can say I've never seen an esc support most.
Please provide examples.
Thanks for the tips. It really is the shipping that makes selling a summit prohibitive. I've sold several rc's and it would probably cost no less than $30 to ship. Also, the summit is an All Time...
Parallel will not harm the esc, it had to have been a coincidence when yours gave up.
I think you mean series. In parallel will be just fine.
I have a summit, sort of. It has a summit chassis, summit tranny, summit, diffs, LT rockers, Ti coated shocks, summit body, summit bumpers/lights.
The non-summit things are: 14mm wheels w/ large...
Put on the pinion it came with. W/ that motor you shouldn't have any issues. But, as always when switching motors/gearing, monitor the temps and adjust accordingly
This afternoon I put the locker in the front diff. It definitely helps it climb over more difficult obstacles. But my hs-85mg servo is struggling.
I just converted mine to 4wd. It adds to the excitement level and makes it climb over small obstacles w/o using momentum. I think I'm going to add a front locker so it can climb even better. Here...
I'm thinking after this weekend I might add the 4x4 parts. I'm just hoping the kids don't get their fingers caught. They seem to know not to grab it by the back tires but they do grab it by the...
Your kids must be more advanced than mine b/c the stock speed would have had that thing just flipping all over the place. My upgraded servo is on the way but I'm going to call traxxas and see if...
Do more research. There are better options for what you have in mind.
Yesterday a 1/16 Grave Digger showed up. I purchased it for the kids b/c they are really into monster trucks at the moment. My boys are 5. Right out of the box I felt the truck ran too fast, too...
What struck me as the most amazing thing is how smooth the car is at that speed. I don't even think my slash 4x4 is that smooth at 20mph ;) Is this car completely stock?
It's mostly an XO:
-XO bottom plate
-XO battery holder
-XO servo holder
-XO diff holders
-XO shock towers
-XO driveshaft tunnel
The front bulkhead going under the knife
I wasn't crazy about this project but I can simply get two new bulkheads and start doing...
Here's a little progress. This will most likely be the go-forward configuration as it uses the stock battery/servo mounts. I re-made the top plate so that I could mount the rc8 tranny to it. I...
It looked cool and handled about as well as a slayer ever could, but in the end it was horrible compared to an lcg slash 4x4. Trust me, I tried for over a year to get that thing to perform but in...
