Haven't had any issues with the old 2.2 rustler rims. I run gladiators on them and they really hook.
I've run both. The proline rear skid is a one piece that includes the bumper mount which is really nice. No fitment issues and i've bashed pretty hard with them on there and no breakage yet.
how do you run your slash?
Bashing, homemade backard track.
charger and batteries?
Traxxas EZrun, Reedy 6c 3400mah packs
Nice vid, wouldn't the two Reedy packs put out the same amount of power though?
Also, does the Jato spur and pinion make a huge difference in gear mesh?
I run 17/86 and temps hang out at 150-160 usually with heavy (2.2" gladiators) tires and constant full throttle starts and stops.
Edit: I run switch tires as well, and they are a tad...
So i've found running heavy tires 16/86 it runs great on the VXL system. I don't run on grass but it doesn't get hot whatsoever with several full throttle starts and stops. If had issues, there's...
That's a great idea, but does it attract a bunch of dirt?
Charge the batteries with the adapter, then run the truck using only the high current connectors. Do your batteries have the traxxas connector on them?
Reasoning is that the old molex type or...
Alright then, here I thought we were talking about bashing.
That's not 4-wheeling in my book.
Think about what they do for a second, they promote the suspension pieces to move together rather than independently. Over rough/uneven terrain this is not advantageous.
Read about it.
All sway bars do is tie the suspension pieces together and reduce body roll. I don't know why you'd want this in off road conditions you want better suspension movement. One could argue it's...
Well, the switch tires (m2 compound) are very good. They are around $16 a pair or $35ish for a set. That may seem expensive, but compared to the stockers they have lasted so far about 3 times as...
can you post some detailed pics? I am seriously considering this gearbox for it's heatsink properties.
Then you'll start snapping drive shafts. lol
We're talking about the gladiators.
I believe they are these wheels:
They don't stick out at all and didn't have to trim the body either.
No backyard yet at our new house so I made this. I'm going to add some rough terrain when it cools down here. Mostly flat track for now though.
I can't say anything about the bow ties but I have the gladiators on a set of old rustler wheels. I call them my cheater tires, they really hook up in the rough terrain compared to the switch or the...
Is there an eclip conversion kit for our trucks? I'm tired of the screw pins on the suspension pieces binding up and backing out of the a arms. I don't want to have to go aluminum and it...
You're thinking the opposite. A larger wheel has to rotate less to travel the same distance as a smaller one. Thus the motor spins less, you are asking more out of the motor to turn that larger...
Have the epics, no problems.
I have a brushless setup and all I use are some decent 6 cell nimh (reedy) packs and it goes like crazy. I'm sure it would go faster with some lipos but you can get 7 (and maybe 8) nimh cell packs...
Curious as to why you don't like the MIP CVDs?
I noticed you bolted everything over to the left side, must be a lot of left turns ;)
How do you like the bowties? I have the switch and really like them a lot both on and off road but thinking...
