The funny thing is that is isn't even the first breakage. I managed to break a turn buckle too. I installed it and started driving my car around in thick, wet grass because all the snow is gone...
Now I just have to wait for my parts to ship from amazon. Ugh
I got from post #10 on this thread:
Yeah, lipos get better voltage constatancey. But nimh are much better for smaller vehicles and new rcers.
Yes you definitely don't want to strip your transmission.
I watch ultimate rc a lot... I read the manual... I have too much free time.
I meant that for yellowufo
Well, I didn't really want to remove the threads on the ball if that's what you mean, but I was able to remove it with the hex driver.
You can always just replace the link's ball joints... I isn't that hard, just getting the joint the stay straight is a challenge
Yes, that's true. Nimh lose volts fast.
No I'm thinking of driveshafts. They may not make them anymore.
I read somewhere... On the boss 302 to mini summit thread where there was tons of red thread lock and shredded transmission gears where found.
The difference between a 2s and a stock nimh is about .2 volts .4 if you're running in series
100wt is pretty stiff, but I thing that's a good thing for bumps. But you may want stiffer springs too to accommodate for more quick cycle. extension cycle, that is
Possibly a slider coming out of the shaft. I had that when ever I turned and drove at the same time. I was able to take off the front slider plate and pop it back in. You may want to refer to the...
The ones going from the diffs to the wheel? Because they have those too. They will be labeled 1/16 E-Revo or 1/16 Summit
The boss drive line is longer. The shafts are longer than the summit's. Of course you don't need any drive line tweaks as long as you're using the same driveline (transmission, diffs, shafts).
RPM shafts should do the trick, but they've been known to strip out the nylon gears in your transmission.
This is my first car so I'm not really sure how to do this. I got the car side of the arm out, but how do you remove the tire side?
Well, it broke but I was able to get the pin out with some pliers
Also, I couldn't find the exploded view in the manual.
I broke one of my a-arms tonight, in two places. I broke it once between the two joints connected to the car itself, and mid-way between the car and tire. I was able the take off the front bumper and...
The manual specifically says that "Although is water resistant, it should not be treated as it is fully summer able or totally, 100% water proof." I learned that the hard way, I rusted over a...
Thanks for your help guys. I got my first car (the summit vxl of course) for Christman and I'm a **bit** of a newb.
I was talking with my friend and somehow traction came up. I said I have enough traction but I told him I was looking for something better that could really fight the snow and power and such. And he...
