I bought the Tekno ones and they didn't work, the drive pin that comes with the Tekno's is smaller than the hole in the traxxas axle. If memory serves me correctly the Traxxas axle has a 3 mm hole...
Is there any adjustment left on the nut? Is it possible to tighten it up a little bit?
I've been thinking about putting a roto start on mine to lose some weight. I've searched the forum and haven't had much luck finding any info. Thanks for the post and the p/n's needed to make it...
Thanks for the link and info.
I ended up using my rpm camber gage to set the toe and camber for now.
To set the toe I used a pierce of aluminium box tubing long enough to touch both wheels...
Thanks, I'm a basher with a touch of OCD so eyeballing it won't work for me;)
Looking at the Traxxas set up sheet for the slayer, they call for 3 degrees toe in for the rear and .5 degrees toe out for the front. Now are those angles per wheel or the sum of the two wheel angles?
What p/n do you use for the slayer pro? Or what length? For the steering.
I bougbt the 2810's and they're too short.
Is there a Differential in the rear, or is it a spool? If there is a rear diff, is it functioning correctly?
Yep, you just need to move the grease to where it's gonna stay. Sometimes if they are over packed and you run them up quickly you can overheat and ruin the grease and shorten the life of the bearing.
Yes, they are in the slayer shocks too. I wonder if the 5mm difference is in the length of the gold shafts:confused:
I'm a noob, so 20% it is. :)
Going to be going to the lhs to get some top fuel for my new slayer pro. How do you determine which top fuel to use 20% or 33%?
There's really now definitive answer in the owners manual and I have...
If it was a nylon spur I would think the steel bell would be fine. Are there any visible signs of wear on the bell?
OOPS! went back and read the fine print, they are for the ultra shocks. I'll just stick with the stockers!
Thanks guys, I ordered the 5461 kit and some 50 and 60 weight oils along with the sway bar kit. I also ordered the Traxxas hard anodized aluminum shock caps for the gtr's.
Are you guys running...
Thanks!:) Yes it has the GTR's. How do you have yours set up? As you know I'm new to the forum and still exploring. Are there any stickies for suspension setup and chassis tuning?
Thanks for the reply. I see those shocks are available in 2 different lengths. Did you use the shorter ones (88mm) on the front and rear?
Looking to upgrade the shocks on my slayer pro. What options are available for the slayer? What are some of you guys running out there?
